Atmospheric: A Mod With New Biomes

Thanks to a mod called ATMOSPHERIC, you will now be able to enjoy eleven new biomes, each of which is quite high-quality and elaborate. In fact, there are only two biomes, though, but each of them features several varieties, as in vanilla Minecraft. The first biome is called Rainforest. Huge trees with a new wood type called rosewood grow there. This biome is notable for the same vegetation as in the jungle. Besides, there will be mossy stones like in the taiga.

This biome also has some similarities with the swamp, namely a large amount of water, lily pads, and underwater vegetation.

The rainforest has several varieties considered separate biomes. These include the ordinary rainforest, the rainforest basin, where trees will grow out of the water, the rainforest mountain, characterized by the generation of huge waterfalls and giant mountains reaching into the sky, the rainforest plateau, and the sparse rainforest basin, where trees are fewer. The second biome type is called Dunes. It looks really beautiful and has a different color of the sky.

The dunes also have several varieties, including the ordinary dunes. The dunes hills have uneven surfaces. On the flourishing dunes biome, you can find dirt and tall grass. The petrified dunes are practically empty and have only stone remains of trees. The rocky dunes are notable for their small mountains and a huge number of sandstone blocks.

In the rainwood biomes, you can come across a new plant called monkey brush. It can be yellow, orange, or red. This plant can grow on the top, bottom, and sides of a block, and it is purely decorative. Besides, the mod adds a new plant called the rosewood tree. You can create a standard set of blocks of its wood, namely planks, slabs, doors, and so on.

In the rainforest biome, you can see plants called passion vines. Flowers and passionfruits grow on it. The latter can be eaten and get the Spitting effect. Under its influence, the main character will start spitting for six seconds with a characteristic sound. This process cannot be controlled. With the help of spitting, you can repel mobs dealing very little damage to them. The plant itself is practically an ordinary vine, collecting which you can craft a coil.

Passionfruits can be used for crafting the shimmering passionfruit, which, when eaten, will replenish three hunger points and impose the Spitting II effect on you. Besides, you can make passionfruit tart and sorbet. The latter will replenish eight hunger points but impose the Slowness V effect on you for fifteen seconds.

The dunes will feature new yucca trees. You will be able to craft a standard set of blocks of its wood. This tree is unique in that, unlike any other tree, it can be planted even on sand blocks. However, the yucca leaves will harm and repel you. The yucca fruits can be grown by yourself and eaten. However, it is not very satiating, so it can be cooked in the smoker. After eating it, you will get the Persistence effect for thirty seconds.

You can also make yucca juice from these fruits. It is practically a potion that imposes the Persistence effect on you for fifty-five seconds.

In turn, from the fried yucca fruit, you can make a cake, which gives the Persistence effect for fifteen seconds.

Another plant that can be found in this biome is the barrel cactus. It has four stages of growth and deals a certain amount of damage depending on the stage. It also imposes the Weakness effect. You can accelerate its growth using bone meal. Besides, these cacti can be planted side by side.

The last plant that is added by this mod is aloe. It has many stages of growth and emits its seeds into the sky as soon as it ripens. If you closely approach it, you can get damage, along with the Weakness effect. If you break the ripe aloe, you can get three new items, namely aloe seeds, aloe leaves, and yellow dye.

From aloe leaves, you can craft a block for more convenient storage as well as a bottle of aloe gel.
