If you watched this movie, you know how many different bugs it features, how courageously the military fought on another planet, and what are the peculiarities of this space universe. And now you have a great opportunity to download a mod called Arachnids, which adds most of the content from this movie.

You will find yourself in a new world where bugs control most of the desert. You will have a large arsenal of weapons and different types of armor, but the bugs will be so numerous and diverse that you will have to enter into a full-scale war, which may prove to be quite long. Overview of the Arachnids Mod

The Arachnids mod is a real find for fans of space, science fiction, and Starship Troopers. It is among the few mods that add so much new content and features. Thus, it brings several new weapon types to Minecraft, and these are real firearms that allow you to hit your enemies over long distances. Several assault rifles, grenade launchers, guns, and signal grenades will be at your disposal. Each weapon has unique characteristics shown in the description. It will also indicate how many rounds are currently left and other important data.

All the firearms can cause damage not only to hostile creatures but also to the  environment. Thus, you will be easily  able to destroy a house or forest if you use grenade launchers or grenades. Each weapon has its own hit range, and using such guns can completely destroy everything around you, so you should be careful. You can use targets for training, but they can bear only one shot. The grenade launchers leave huge craters and cover the entire territory with fire. With the help of such weapons, you can even quickly dig the soil if you need to drill down. And it goes without saying that they can have numerous applications on Minecraft servers.

The new armor is particularly noteworthy. It features a typical green and steel appearance with some gradients and smooth transitions. Their protection level is close to the diamond armor, but they have excellent knockback resistance and good durability. They are crafted quite easily and mainly require iron blocks, wool, and leather armor. The designers of the Arachnids mod have tried to make their crafting close to real life. The bugs are a separate category of hostile Minecraft mobs with which you will have to fight. They are unique creatures that have elaborate AI, attack players, kill animals, and can work both in pairs and singly. If you use the spawn eggs for any of the bugs, they will appear in different colors, which is a huge advantage of the Arachnids mod. Some of the creatures are really huge, say, Tanker, which occupies an area of about 5–9 blocks. Such a mob can simply crush the player without letting them make a single shoot. However, the added weapons will allow you to fire at long distances, whereas the grenades and grenade launchers will help you to cause massive damage.

The appearance and texture of each bug is a true masterpiece. The modders have meticulously recreated all the creatures from Starship Troopers while keeping the approximate proportions. As a result, some mobs will be very strong and huge, while others will act only as support or fall upon you in crowds. However, most of them attack not only at close range but also at long distances, and you will have to use various fortifications to survive among such bug hordes. With the help of the JEI mod, you can use the spawn eggs and summon any such creature to see how it looks.
