This is not the most exciting mechanic, and it’s suitable for users over 18. However, in general it’s a very popular mod, which is sometimes updated by the developer. And in this article, we’ll tell you about the main advantages of Anthropophagy in detail, about tje mechanics it adds, and how you can turn from a cannibal into a victim who will also want to «devour».

The Anthropophagy mod adds several items to Minecraft and a new system for eating «people» or NPCs, which gives access to new food that will give you certain buffs. For an ordinary player, this will be an important discovery and even a terrifying fact, however, such mods are also common among the Minecraft audience, respectively, we need to review them, too. We tried not only to describe, but also to demonstrate how the quality of Steve’s life in the game world will change after adding such functions, and how cannibal’s style differs from the standard survival mechanics.

A cabannibal – is a creature that eats people. Unfortunately, there are also such «people» in real life, but in this material we call them creatures, since such a lifestyle is considered wrong, unworthy, and disgusting. But the gaming industry offers us to try on different roles, so even a cannibal can try to play Minecraft and experience what it’s like on his own. Once you install Anthropophagy, you’ll get several new items in the game and a new type of food will be added after butchering. If the player cooks meat he got in this way, it will have certain effects that positively affect the character.

The Anthropophagy mod adds a unique knife to the game, which allows you to collect flesh from other creatures and use it to replenish your health and gain new effects. It deals by times less damage than a sword, and is mainly used in melee combat. However, such weapons will be faster than standard Minecraft weapons, and you can gain an advantage due to its speed. The main task of the knife from Anthropophagy is to extract flesh from different mobs. Moreover, the meat obtained from the creatures is automatically fried if your victim is burning at the time of the attack. Thanks to these mechanics, you can save coal or wood without burning the resulting meal in stoves.

According to the mod developer, if the player feels «desperate», he can even get his own flesh by simply crouching down and right-clicking, holding a knife in his hands. It’s not the most interesting or clever idea, but Anthropophagy suggests even this one to desperate players. By eating flesh (meat from other creatures), you get not only advantages, but disadvantages as well. For example, you’ll have certain stats increased in the game, but you won’t be able to wear some parts of the armor, and this will affect the overall protection of the character. If you participate in mass battles, you’d better refuse to use the flesh obtained with this knife for a while, otherwise the internal mechanics of the mod won’t allow you to put on armor elements.

There is also another negative effect « the Glutton pig. If you eat too much flesh in the game, you become an insatiable character who will prioritize loot rather than attacking mobs. As soon as another piece of flesh falls, you’ll immediately run to collect it, receiving additional damage from all creatures around. If you eat too much of people’s meat, you become a real cannibal, and after a certain period of time, someone will begin to hunt you. Wendigo appears in the game (a mythical character, whom, according to the legend, only those people who eat other humanoids can see). Actually, the developer of Anthropophagy decided to implement something similar in Minecraft.

Wendigo, by the way, looks really cool. If you wish, you can try to spawn this character in the game world and see what it can do. Here, in fact, all body parts have been thoroughly developed, and a unique structure and colorful appearance have been added. No one knows what such creatures really look like, as they are mythical heroes, so we can only assume that the developer of Anthropophagy was right. In addition to the knife crafted from iron and wood, the «tied heart», a unique artifact obtained from different mobs, will also appear in the game. But it’s up to you to figure out what it’s for.

In fact, you can see that the Anthropophagy mod adds a lot of interesting, albeit controversial, content to the game world that you will have to interact with. If the player eats human meat too often, then Wendigo will start hunting him, so you need to be careful and try to stick to certain limit.
