Wasabi: A New Japanese-Style Mob

What do you think of the standard Minecraft mobs? Most of them are hostile, no matter what environment or dimension you are in, and beginners who decide to explore this sandbox have to get used to that. However, the vanilla mobs cannot always please players with interesting options, some special features, and appearance, and players have to install user mods, adding more functionality to Minecraft. Thus, if you would like to diversify the standard pillagers, we suggest you install a mod called Wasabi, which allows you to add a new Japanese-style mob.

You can be sure that you have never seen this before in Minecraft, and even if you have tried some addons in the Japanese style, you will remember the appearance of the new pillager. He swoops down from the sky, deals a lot of damage, tracks down players, and will be a serious headache for most users, both during raids and usual travels. So it is a unique mob not only in terms of appearance but also of behavior, although the vanilla world of Minecraft will not change much.

Review of the Wasabi Mod

The very appearance of Wasabi immediately suggests that it is a Japanese character created according to the cultural canons. He has a unique and cool hairstyle, appropriate clothes, and slightly changed skin color, but it basically looks like the standard pillager. If you encounter it in the game, be ready to repel attacks. Besides, be sure to stock up on health potions or food to counter this hostile creature.

This Japanese Minecraft pillager will automatically attack you mainly during raids. However, it does not move on the ground, as the standard mobs of this type do, but flies and can literally knock you down. Diving from the above, it can cause a lot of damage and push you off from blocks. So if you are at some height, it is quite possible that you will simply fall. However, this mob can sometimes show dullness: it comes up to you, thinks about something for a few seconds, and only after that does damage.

As we have already noted, the new pillager type appears in raids, and the Wasabi mod does not allow you to spawn them using an egg or some other means. So you will have to run to the nearest village and wait for it to be attacked or spawn several pillagers to initiate a raid. During the latter, they automatically appear on one side of the village once the raid indicator reaches 100%. However, you should keep in mind that besides the Japanese pillagers, there will be a dozen other mobs, and you will not be able to cope with them without appropriate equipment, food, potions, and weapons.

Thus, we ourselves found an inhabited village and waited for a raid to begin. A large number of pillagers immediately appeared, including one of Japanese origin. Unfortunately, each wave will include only one such mod, so if you decide to look at it, you should not kill it right away. It will not cause much damage, as it is a bit dumb, as mentioned earlier. If it soars into the sky, run away and prepare to repel the attack. We recommend that you take an enchanted bow and extra health potions with you.

The Japanese pillagers in Minecraft may attack not only players but also golems defending a village. It also soars into the sky and flies at the mob, but in most cases, the golem kills it with one blow. That looks really cool and spectacular: the animation and behavior of this mob are themselves a reason to try Wasabi. Given such effects, you will be able to create full-fledged movies and videos dedicated to Minecraft on your YouTube channel or other websites with similar content.

The Japanese pillager holds a kind of shuriken but does not use them in battle, which is a pity. Even so, the animation of this character looks cool, and fighting such mobs in Minecraft is a true pleasure. Even the standard vanilla weapons will be enough, but we recommend enchanting them so that you can throw them to the enemy and cause additional damage. Indeed, there are sometimes a lot of them around you, and even in good armor, you may quickly die from incessant blows.

In general, the mod has proved to be a cool add-on with which you can slightly diversify the Minecraft mod and add a new mob. The pillagers will now be more numerous, and raids will be more interesting. Moreover, if you play in the normal survival mode, the Wasabi mod will allow you to capture cool videos for YouTube. You should not forget, though, that when attacking an inhabited village, the pillagers will come in several waves, and one will be stronger than the other.
