Warden Tools

A small mod that slightly expands the vanilla Ancient city. Now, it allows you to discover and explore a new dungeon in not only an insanely scary, but also useful ways, because the mod adds new armor, weapons, and tools to the game, which you can get in this gloomy and dark place only.

Blocks

The mod adds the following new blocks to the game – the Sculk-lycistic Geode . This structure resembles the vanilla amethyst one, with crystals that you can mine also growing inside, but this time these are the Echo Shard crystals, which at last aren’t purely decorative.

By collecting the Echo Shards, you’ll be able to use them to craft new Echo Ingots in the future that you can further use to craft your own sculk weapons, tools, and armor. Also, to craft the Echo Ingots you’ll need a tidy amount of the Netherite Ingots, a new item– the Warden Soul, and of course, a new blacksmith template that you can find in the chests of the Ancient city.

Armor

The armor, offered by the mod is peculiar by its extravagant look – you’ll actually change into a miniWarden. But this is far from its only advantage. First, it’s a rather strong armor, with characteristics similar to the vanilla Netherite one, which makes sense since it’s crafted on the blacksmith’s table from the Netherite armor. However, it’s tougher. Plus, it imposes a permanent Resistance effect on the player, which will help you to fight Wardan, should it become necessary.

Weapons and tools

The mod adds two new weapons to the game: the Warden’s Sword and the Echo Staff.

The Warden’s Sword is crafted on a blacksmith’s table by combining a Netherite sword, an Echo Ingot, and a new blacksmith template. In terms of characteristics, it’s more powerful than the Netherite one and adds +10 to the damage.

The Echo Staff – is a brand-new weapon with its own crafting recipe. It’s not particularly useful in close combat and adds only +4 points to the damage, but the Staff is not about close combat. It inflicts long-range attacks similar to the Warden’s sound attack and just as destructive – it takes the staff just one shot to destroy the standard vanilla mobs (Zombies, Slugs, Creepers, and Skeletons). Indeed, it takes it long to charge, but considering its powerful attacks, this is done on purpose. Otherwise, this weapon would be too unbalanced.

You can also craft a standard tool set using. the Netherite tools, the Echo Ingots, and a blacksmith template. It’s worth mentioning that these tools’ characteristics will be a few points better than those of the Netherite ones, and the axe will be able to offer as much as +12 damage.

Using the Echo Shards and a common apple, you can craft the Echo Apple. This is neither an armor nor a weapon, but actually an artifact that simultaneously imposes many effects on the player. These include Speed, Strength, Fire Resistance, and even Night Vision. All these effects last up to 2 minutes. It’s almost a cheat item, given that it’s relatively cheap to craft.
