In survival mode, the player can interact with different mobs, beginning with friendly and ending with neutral and hostile. For example, you can trade with villagers. Moreover, you often have to resort to their help to get some resources or make a profitable exchange. Accordingly, some players try to find a village right after generating a new map but do not always succeed. However, even if you do not have a bed, you do not have to steal it from an NPC or get wool from sheep, as you can resort to a special approach suggested by a mod called Village Spawn Point.
You can install the Village Spawn Point add-on and spawn immediately in a peaceful village. The system will automatically define the spawn point when generating a map, and you will not have to put in any effort. Everything is done without your participation — it is enough just to install this mod. The mechanics are simple but very helpful to many Minecraft users, including on server projects, and we are going to discuss it further.
While playing Minecraft, you cannot do without finding an inhabited village, and many players do that not in not quite standard ways: someone takes the seed of a map and then tries to get its global view through various services to see coordinates. Some players just die all the time to spawn in random places. You can also use boat-like vehicles to move around the game world faster and explore different locations. But what for? You can immediately appear in a village as if you were its inhabitant. The Village Spawn Point add-on serves precisely this purpose.
The Village Spawn Point mod can boast almost six million downloads and is very helpful on Minecraft servers. Thus, an admin can add a spawn point for all players, and they will appear in some village by default. Moreover, it will be impossible to kill villagers there, and the players will be able only to collect loot from fields and farms and replenish health and hunger. It will also be possible to tame mobs around for breeding livestock for the subsequent accumulation of meat, wool, and leather. In short, the approximate way of development is quite clear.
In singleplayer mode, this system works slightly differently, though. Here, the Village Spawn Point mod just allows you to accelerate your development at the initial stages of your survival. Indeed, you will not have to search for a village — it will be enough just to install this mod and spawn there right from the start. Moreover, that will happen after every death of your character. The system selects the nearest settlement to the x=0, z=0 point — that is, you will always appear in the same village, provided it still exists. That is convenient since the player does not need to look for resources to craft beds and search for a settlement in manual mode. Here, you can also get some basic resources from villagers' chests, fields, and farms.
Another nice feature of the Village Spawn Point mod is the bonus chest. It will generate in that very village. You will see it next to your spawn point and be able to relocate it. As you might have guessed, this chest will include different contents, such as apples, axes, pickaxes, bread, and sticks. They are mainly most ordinary items that can be helpful to the player when they appear in the game world for the first time.
The add-on is compatible with other mods, including those that add new biomes. For example, you can install the same Twilling Forest and, with a certain probability, find yourself in some new location added by it, provided it is a peaceful village. Here, your luck will matter to some degree. Thus, we tested the Village Spawn Point mod and found ourselves in the savanna, although it is quite a rare biome in Minecraft. And we spawned there every time after death even without a bed. However, if you place it somewhere, you will appear there. Take into account this point when visiting new locations.
