Are you always short of space to transfer blocks and resources in Minecraft? Haven’t you been able to craft your own Shulker boxes yet? You can expand your inventory, and for this you just need to choose one of the most popular mods so that it not only offers the functions you need, but also looks aesthetically pleasing. And the Useful Backpacks add-on may well be such an option. Actually, we’ve made a detailed review about it, telling you what types of backpacks are added to Minecraft, how they differ from each other, what crafting recipes the player will need, and other equally important nuances.
The Useful Backpacks add-on will add several types of backpacks to the game, which allow you to expand your inventory and carry by times more items. The standard Minecraft functions dons’t allow you to carry more blocks than the default system intended, and the only way to bypass the system – is to create Shulker boxes. But for this the player needs to travel to the End, find Elytras, defeat Shulkers, bring all the resources home, craft a new item, and only then they will be able to use their functions to the full. Why make it so difficult? Let’s take a simpler path…
The Useful Backpacks mod adds 3 new types of backpacks to Minecraft to expand the additional number of slots. These are small, medium, and large satchels, which you accommodate by times more loot, blocks, and resources. But this option differs compared to other mods, since here you can’t put a backpack on the player. That is, you won’t see any visual changes, and Useful Backpacks just expands your inventory. Many Minecraft users are looking for this option to get more advantages, but not to show and demonstrate that they have more slots in the game.
If you need the same option, then the Useful Backpacks add-on will be great for you. To craft it, leather blocks, wool blocks, and thread are mainly used. The first backpack version requires a thread, but the subsequent ones use a first-level satchel as an upgrade. Another important feature is different colors. You can use a variety of dyes for wool to make color variations: white, green, red, blue, and many others. Just change the color of the block when crafting and that’s it. We’ve posted some examples for you, so take a close look at the screenshots in this article.
The smallest version of backpacks adds 15 new slots to Minecraft. This is enough to collect blocks in the mine or get more crops and vegetables from your farms. If you decide to make a middle satchel, you’ll receive 54 additional slots. Just imagine how much extra space there is to transfer loot in the game! You can walk into the mine without worrying about leaving some blocks lying on the ground. After all, there must have also been situations with you when you were digging in a mine looking for ores and diamonds, and all the blocks were just lying around, since you couldn’t collect them, because you had no more free space. With the Useful Backpacks add-on, you’ll forget about these problems.
Well, the last option is a big backpack. It adds 117 additional slots. This will certainly be enough to transfer all the most important resources at once, for example, when you decide to move to a new location. Do you often go to the mines? Great! Now, you can take more picks and collect all the mined blocks as you dig. You’ll definitely need them the future, so don’t throw them away. The medium and large backpacks look the same, so remember the crafting or use JEI to view recipes in the game.
The main GUI interface allows you to quickly transfer items from your inventory to your backpack and back. To do this, you need to throw an additional bag from the Useful Backpacks mod into the character’s second hand, and then right-click to open the inventory. You’ll see your main cells and slots from the backpack. Throw objects back and forth and control them as you like. By the way, we recently talked about a small Tap Tab tweak that allows you to flip entire lines of resources in the game in a single click. This makes it possible to quicker collect and manage inventory. Add both of these mods in your assembly and get the most out of the gameplay.
This is all the functions added to Useful Backpacks. The add-on is already available for Minecraft 1.20.2 and can be downloaded for both Forge and Fabric. We recommend using all the advantages of this mod to quickly transfer loot, visit different game biomes without worrying that there will be no space for the blocks. Just remember that a player can die, fall into lava, die from mobs or lack of food anytime. Always take more potions, food, and a bed to set temporary save points, which will allow you to save your loot and get home faster with more resources and blocks.
