Tablets From the Loki Series

When it comes to vanilla Minecraft, you can move across the game world in the standard ways only: using boats on the water, riding animals on the ground, and with the elytra by air. You can also use a Nether portal to overcome certain biomes quickly and then return through another portal. In that way, you can cover a distance that would be eight times greater in the Overworld. Thus, if you cover 200 blocks in the Nether, in the Overworld, this distance will be equal to 1,600. However, such a way is not always convenient, and nobody wants to risk valuable materials if one needs to transfer something.

In this case, you can install the Tempad mod, which will allow you to quickly teleport to any distance in Minecraft, be it 1,000 blocks or 100,000. The distance is not particularly significant here, as it adds a unique teleportation technology borrowed from the Loki series. So if you are a fan of the latter, you will be particularly interested in trying out this new Minecraft mod. For the others, it will be just a great opportunity to save time in the game and enjoy the updated gameplay.

The Tempad mod brings unique tablets that will allow you to teleport to different points in Minecraft. However, it should be noted from the outset that crafting such a device is quite a difficult task since you will need six quartz blocks, a beacon, and glowstone dust to craft such a tablet. So to make just one item, you will have to run around the biomes or buy all the necessary ingredients from other users on a server. But in general, that is a convenient system that allows any player to instantly get to different parts of the game without resorting to vanilla portals.

Creating and Using a Portal

The main feature of the Tempad mod is an unusual interface where the player has to interact with a special GUI. To place the first teleportation point, you will need to craft the tempad, as shown in our screenshots. After that, take it in your hand and click the RMB to open an additional menu. It is here where the entire process of creating teleportation points is accomplished. We recommend you use it in the location where you wish to create a portal — say, approach a desired house, click the RMB, and set a teleportation point there.

You will see a separate GUI with the following menu items: Options, Run Program, and Wiki. If you would like to customize the color for the portals, go to 'Options'. You will be able to select the color for all the timedoors to be created in the game. However, you will not be able to create portals of various colors. As for the placement, click 'Run Program'. You will enter a virtual interface of the tablet, and the entire process is accomplished in such a cyberspace whose style resembles the Loki series.

To set a new point, just select 'New Location' and type its name so that you can find it in the overall list and teleport to it. You can create an unlimited number of points. Once a point is set, you need to open the menu the same way by clicking the RMB while holding the tablet in your hands and select the destination in the Run Program list. After that, it will be enough to press the Teleport button to create a timedoor. You need to enter it and move to another point within ten seconds — otherwise, the portal will disappear, and you will have to create it again.

In this way, any Minecraft player will now be able to open portals in a couple of clicks. You just get to the desired place, click the RMB while holding the tablet in your hands, and set a new point. However, it is not necessary to visit both points — you will be able to select the coordinates directly in the GUI, which is another function for players that allows them to set a destination point even in places that users cannot reach physically. That is why server admins should check the config file and prohibit some features of the Tempad mod — otherwise, players will be able to teleport to other people's homes, cities, and private territories.

The entire process of adding, removing, and customizing the timedoors is accomplished via the GUI interface while holding the tempad in your hands. So it is clear that after installing the Tempad add-on, many players will carry this device with them to quickly teleport to any point or edit their location list. Thanks to such a mod, you will be able to instantly move between different biomes for hundreds of thousands of blocks. But most importantly, the Tempad mod allows you to move even between different dimensions, which adds even more interest to it, providing unique functionality.
