As you can see, this event is pretty rare, and that’s why the developer of the Skeleton Horse Spawn mod decided to create his own separate tool to add spawn of skeleton horses in the game for all players, with a high default chance. It’s at least a few times higher than the vanilla mechanics. Thanks to this spawn, any Minecraft player can find a skeleton horse in any biome. It can be tamed in the same way as an ordinary mob – using wheat.

However, skeleton horses often spawn with the rider, that is, the skeleton, who will deal damage to the character immediately upon seeing him. Therefore, in this case you’ll have to kill the rider and tame the horse. Sometimes, it will be assigned to you by default after the first interaction. The developer of this mod has added a few more important parameters, which allow you to customize certain points:

· chanceSurfaceSkeletonHasHorse (default = 0.05, min 0, max 1.0): The probability that a skeleton that spawns on the surface becomes a skeleton on a horse by default. You have 0.05 by default, which is a 5% chance, but you can se 1.0, and then it will make 100%;

· shouldBurnSkeletonHorsesInDaylight (default = true): If you enable this option, then the daylight will automatically damage skeleton horses and set them on fire.;

· onlySpawnSkeletonHorsesOnSurface (default = true): If you enable this parameter, then the skeleton with the rider will spawn on the surface only.

In general, it’s a very interesting, but at the same time minimalistic mod with significant potential. Players will be able to tame new pets and use them to move around the game world quickly. You can’t even imagine how fast a skeleton horse is in Minecraft, and as soon as you try to ride it, you’ll hardly refuse and switch to other animals. Besides, thanks to a flexible parameter system on any server or a single-player map, you can configure the spawn probability and all the conditions for the skeleton horses to appear in Minecraft.
