It is a mod that adds a new biome called the silver birch forest to Minecraft, the concept of which was presented by Mojang on Minecraft Live in the pre-releases of version 1.19.2. Those tall birches, the fireflies that were never added to the mangrove swamp, and much more will now appear in the game world thanks to this mod.

The first and most significant change brought by the mod is the tall birches. They are indeed huge, so it will be quite difficult to cut them, as their one-block trunk simply does not allow you to create a ladder as in the case of, say, the same tall fir tree. However, these birches have saplings and allow you to craft a complete set of wooden blocks, similar to the vanilla one. Besides, you will be able to create a hollow log, although its purpose is not very clear.

Walking through the new biome, you will certainly come across new plants: two new tall flowers and three small ones. They are purely decorative but still nicely diversify the game environment. In contrast, the mushrooms growing on the birches are much more noteworthy in terms of functionality.

You will be able to collect these mushrooms, grow them, and even craft building blocks from them, namely ordinary square blocks, steps, slabs, and fences.

And, of course, the mod returns the promised fireflies. They are purely decorative, though, and bring nothing but rather poor lighting, nicely complementing the atmosphere of the night forest. They cannot be caught and drop nothing but are still very cute.
