Review RandomOre

Random Ores from One Block

Minecraft players mine many different ores, such as diamond, emerald, gold, and a few others, and as soon as you get into a mine, you immediately understand what resources you see. To diversify the gameplay somehow, some Minecraft users install third-party mods to add more ores or just a few additional alloys. But we’ll go another way – will add a mod that adds random ores to the game. That is, you’ll see a unique block, consisting of a dozen inclusions of valuable materials, but no one knows what exactly will fall out of there, because the system randomly allocates all the resources.

The RandomOre mod adds a new type of ore to Minecraft. This is a separate block that appears in almost all biomes of the game world, but it will be most common deep in mines. It looks very colorful and unusual: if you look closely, you can see almost all the valuable materials available in Minecraft in it, although you’ve never seen some colors in the vanilla version. Other materials may also fall out randomly. This is a unique mechanic that will not only add more materials, but also make each player collect these blocks more often to see what their luck can do for them. And you’ll definitely need it here…

New ores from RandomOre spawn almost throughout the game world, and if you go down into a mine, be sure to pay attention to these blocks. They stand out from the rest by glowing in different colors. You can hardly miss such a block even in the dark. Besides, this add-on has a number of features that you need to know before you decide to install the mod:

· As a drop, the ore gives not only valuable materials, but also items, which are most common. Building blocks, steps, mob drops, armor, and much more;

· Compatible with other mods. For example, if you have some third-party add-ons for decorative blocks or food installed, then items from them may fall out when breaking the RandomOre block;

· Supports the «vanilla style» of the game, when only items from the standard Minecraft version fall out;

· There are 2 types of blocks available in the game: regular ore and deep ore. Like diamond ore, it slightly differs in contrast;

· If a player uses a pickaxe with the «Silk Touch», they’ll be able to pick up this block to install it in the house or somewhere else;

· You can’t make an artificial block from RandomOre, but you can get it from the admin panel using JEI;

· If a player has a pickaxe with «Efficiency» and «Luck», you’ll be able to mine blocks from RandomOre faster, as well as get many times more materials, but subject to getting valuable resources, not blocks.

Almost everything available in the game can be dropped in the RandomOre mod. Moreover, the system automatically picks up data from other mods. Even in our example, the screenshots show that items from the Burrows mod (moles in Minecraft) were dropped, although we configured or changed nothing in the parameters. New blocks from this add-on (RandomOre) look original, and if you haven’t tried playing with this mod yet, then be sure to install it and see how your gameplay will change. Keep in mind that any player can get a Netherite, armor, and other various valuable blocks with a certain probability. Therefore, such items will definitely be in demand among players on Minecraft servers.

All ores from RandomOre will be in demand thanks to their decorative features. This block looks unique and beautiful at any time of the day, and it’s often better to keep it as a separate building block than to destroy it and get an unknown element or item that you may not need. This is a complete «randomness», and no one knows what principle it follows. You can get ordinary semi-blocks, blocks, iron doors, lava, diamonds, dirt, eggs, and many other elements. Accordingly, the more third-party mods you install in your build, the more various they will be.

To sum up, we can conclude that RandomOre is more of a decorative block than a kind of valuable material for getting valuable resources, because the chance of getting exactly what you need is extremely low. But the owners of Minecraft servers can make improvised mines to teleport to, so that players can dig blocks of this ore for a limited period of time and get random items for it. If you play in single player mode, it’s up to you to decide how to use the new blocks from the RandomOre mod.
