Glowing Squids in Minecraft

Do you like the standard squid textures in the game? If a player is interested in the underwater world, they most likely interact with such mobs from time to time in various aquatic biomes. However, their appearance is not as beautiful as in the Rainglow mod, because here the developer added 15 bright shades that glow at night. And if you install this add-on in your modpack, you can host a real underwater disco party. Just imagine building an underwater glass house with such creatures swimming around you, lighting up everything around. Sounds cool, right? In this article, we tried to take a detailed look at all the advantages and functionality of this add-on.

The Rainglow modification adds glowing squids to Minecraft that stand out compared to the vanilla versions. More precisely, the standard textures of these mobs are replaced with glowing textures, and all of this is possible thanks to this mod. With such options, the underwater world will be filled with new colors and show everyone what a real underwater biome can look like, where different types of mobs swim around. In the vanilla version of the game, hardly anyone paid much attention to them, but after installing the Rainglow add-on, any player will notice the squids, because no one can pass by such cool and amazing mobs…

Glowing squids (octopuses) in Minecraft are another way to attract players to water biomes so that they become interested in exploring the underwater world. After all, there are many different blocks, dungeons with valuable resources and artifacts, a beautiful underwater atmosphere, and unique plants. And if you install the Rainglow add-on, interest in such locations will only increase among players, because everyone will want to see a glowing squid. And considering that about 15 different shades are added, some players may even start collecting these creatures in the game world.

This mod uses bright rainbow colors, and as soon as you install Rainglow, you will notice any squid even on the surface just by looking down into a water biome. Each mob stands out from all the others, so it is hard to say which color is the main priority here: you can catch any one of them to observe the behavior of these amazing creatures and simply enjoy the pleasant textures. No dull colors or shades—only bright variants that make every player take a closer look at the squid, and in some cases immediately rush underwater to explore this world.

The developer of the Rainglow mod added custom color modes for all squids present in the game. That is, you will be able to configure your own variants if you have them—for example, rainbow, monochrome, unique modes that are available by default in the mod itself, and much more. The entire process is done through a graphical interface, and this is a really cool set of tools in Minecraft, where every player can recreate exactly the shades they want, see, and feel. In this case, you act as an artist and decide for yourself which shades to use in the game.

Here are several options for additional modes that can be installed in Minecraft for the Rainglow modification:

· Monochrome – mainly uses white, black, and gray, like in the old days when there were only black-and-white cameras and televisions;

· Vanilla – a simple blue shade;

· Pride – this includes about a dozen additional modes that differ in various shades. For example, “Asexual Pride” includes black, gray, white, and purple colors.

If desired, a player can install the Rainglow add-on on a server to transform the appearance of squids (octopuses) in all water biomes in just a few clicks and show the whole world how these locations should look in the game in order to attract as many Minecraft players as possible. The textures are perfectly crafted, the balance is solid, and there are many colors. The developer added a wide range of shades so that each player can customize the appearance to their liking. And despite the fact that squids are not particularly popular in the game, interest in these mobs will definitely increase after installing the Rainglow add-on, so this tool is definitely worth trying!

We tried not only to show, but also to explain all the nuances of working with the Rainglow add-on. Take a look at the screenshots we provided and decide whether it is worth changing the appearance of squids in this way or not. Hundreds of different texture packs have been created for Minecraft, changing many textures, including those of squids, but they are far from the design and visual style that the developers created in the Rainglow add-on. Write in the comments whether you liked this style or not, which squids you liked the most, and what you think the main idea of the author was.
