However, you will now be able to save your potions, as one bottle will give you as many as eight food items with the respective effect. That is, by making, say, the night vision potion and combining it with bread, you will get eight pieces of bread that will have this effect. As you can see, the benefit is obvious. The mechanics have proved to be interesting and advantageous, and the Potion Foods mod can be used both on a server and in solo survival.

To create new complex items, you will need to mix them in the crafting table. First of all, you will need to brew a desired potion. Then, place eight items of the same type around it. No, you will not be able to use, say, four apples and four fried chickens, but only apples or chickens. So you will have to choose which food type to make use of to get the complex foodstuffs. But even such an approach completely covers all the costs, so if you would like to transform the standard approach to survival in Minecraft, we recommend that you try the Potion Foods mod.

It is also worth installing the JEI mod to look at the selection of ready-made foodstuffs added by Potion Foods. Besides, you will be able to take a whole stack of any food with one click and use it. That is convenient, especially on large-scale servers where it is necessary to distribute some stuff among the players through the admin console. However, these mechanics do not apply to all the food types, and there is an exception. Thus, if you would like to get enchanted cakes, you will not be able to mix eight cakes at once and will have to create them one by one.
