Plonk: Convenient Item Placement in Minecraft

Minecraft can boast numerous different items, and they can often be used to emphasize some style, decorate a room or an entire building inside, or create a special interior. However, the standard in-game functions do not allow you to do that without restrictions, and players have to install custom mods related to the decorative design. There is one add-on, though, that does not add any new content to the game but slightly changes the very mechanics of interaction with many items. We have in mind a mod called Plonk, which allows you to attach different types of items to blocks.

You will now be able to place different types of items and blocks on other surfaces in a couple of clicks. Thus, you will be able to hang weapons on the side, top, or bottom of a block and place an armor piece or some blocks from other dimensions on it — all this with one new function. The Plonk mod is compatible with most versions of Minecraft and does not load the system. Review of the Plonk Mod

You will be able to change the appearance of any of your structures or simply diversify the gameplay of Minecraft in a couple of clicks using the features of the Plonk mod. They will allow you to place any items at different angles. Even though the new mechanics are quite simple, there has never been such a function in the vanilla version of Minecraft. The Plonk add-on can boast about 4.5 million downloads on the official webpage, which indicates its relevance among the audience.

To place any item in Minecraft, you will need to approach the block or the wall, put the necessary item in the active slot, and press P. You will thus be able to place resources, blocks, and items on almost any surface. Thus, you will be able to place up to five items at once if the block is on solid ground. That is very convenient when the player needs to transform the appearance inside a building, add a special detail to the interior, or simply diversify the gameplay.

Another unique feature of the Plonk mod is the possibility of rotating items. Just press Shift+RMB with empty hands on the item you want to rotate clockwise. The Plonk mod features sixteen different directions. Moreover, you will be able to rotate not only items, weapons, and tools but also any kind of blocks. So it will now be much easier to decorate the interior of a house or castle without having to install dozens of different mods. It will be enough to install this mod and take advantage of such a function.

The default button to place items is P, but you may have a conflict if it is already bound. If the function does not work, go to the settings, open the controls section, and assign the appropriate key for the place item action there. We have preferred the Insert button since P was already used by another mod installed by us. And given that many users also have some mods in their build, this key will be unavailable by default for them as well.
