Review Enchantment Switch

In Minecraft, most mechanics are related to enchantments. Over time, you will need to create armor and weapons, obtaining certain effects that allow you to get more resources or protect your character. However, in the vanilla version of the game, you cannot combine certain effects or, on the contrary, remove them if they interfere with you. Although a more thoughtful and flexible customization system would open up far more possibilities for players. And this is where various modifications come to the rescue, with the help of which you can manage enchantments in the game in just a couple of clicks. In this description, we reviewed one such mod, where players will be able to quickly move, remove, and disable effects.

The Enchantment Switch mod makes major changes to the entire enchantment system in Minecraft, so now you can easily combine various effects, remove certain ones, and add them using other weapons or books. But at the same time, “fair play” and the random assignment of enchantments for negative effects are still preserved. If you get them, it will no longer be possible to remove them from weapons, tools, or any other items. Therefore, you should not expect any serious imbalance in the game from using such modifications. More interesting already, isn’t it? We invite you to familiarize yourself with a detailed review, where we tried to talk about the most interesting and important features of this add-on.

Are you tired of the fact that enchantments periodically “drop” in the game that you do not need, or that you cannot combine several effects together to get the perfect sword? In this case, this mod will help and do everything for you as quickly as possible, so that every player can change any enchantments in a couple of clicks or make whatever combination they want to see on tools, weapons, and armor in Minecraft. In the vanilla version of the game, such options are unavailable, and players always had to choose what to sacrifice: for example, remove “Mending” or “Infinity” for their bow, carrying two items with them. Now this can be changed by using the same item, although in general such a system does not affect the balance of the game very much.

Features of the Enchantment Switch mod:

· Fast switching system. The whole process is carried out using a hotkey, which is set in the game settings by default. Initially, it is not there, so you will need to go into the Minecraft settings and set your own option. Then you simply press the key and hold it for a few seconds so that a separate editing menu appears;

· Combining different effects. If previously in the game you had to choose which sword, bow, or other item would have this or that enchantment, now it will be enough simply to enable or disable any of them using a special menu option;

· Smart switching system. You can also use smart switching in the game settings, which allows you to disable all unnecessary effects and incompatible enchantments;

· Balanced mechanics. Despite the fact that by default you disable certain enchantments, they still remain on the given item. For example, you will disable Infinity on a bow, but the effect itself has not gone anywhere and still remains;

· The ability to clean up tooltips. You remember that when you hover over any item, tooltips appear describing the effects, don’t you? Now you can choose which ones to remove so that the system crosses them out. The interface will be much simpler and more convenient for users, so this approach will definitely appeal to all players;

· Support for different mods. The Enchantment Switch add-on is focused not only on vanilla gameplay, but also on support for other modifications installed in different modpacks. For this, you can use the enchantmentswitch:persistent_enchantments parameter, which allows you to determine for which effects changes are possible;

· Negative effects remain. If your weapon or armor has negative enchantments, they will not go anywhere! However, they can be temporarily hidden so that they are not displayed in the overall system.

How to interact with enchantments?

1. The system is as simple as possible for any player. You will need to assign a default key in the game settings. For example, we used the O key for this, but you may have a different option;

2. Next, take an enchanted item and move the mouse cursor over it. Now you need to press the hotkey and wait a few seconds;

3. A separate menu will appear where editing is available. Everything marked with checkmarks means activated enchantments, and crosses mean disabled ones. At any time, you can edit them and make changes. Moreover, it does not matter who created the item — you or another player;

4. Once all changes are completed, simply exit editing mode. The system will display these enchantments with strikethrough lines. A convenient and extremely simple mechanic for any player.

Now you will determine for yourself which enchantments to activate or “mute” on your item, however, fair play in Minecraft is still preserved, especially for all negative effects. They will not go anywhere. The modification can be used both for servers and single-player mode, and overall it has a pleasant interaction interface where any player can change the list of enchantments literally in a couple of clicks.

Most often, such mods are used for switching between the “Infinity” and “Mending” enchantments, for example, for a bow, or “Sharpness” and “Smite” for swords. In the cubic world, for practically every item there are certain effects that cannot be combined with each other, but the player decides what to activate, and they will not need to have several copies of the same item. Try combining, manage your enchantments through a convenient interface, and do not forget that Enchantment Switch also works with other mods, and this opens up a huge number of additional possibilities!
