Later, shulkers and barrels appeared, but the appearance of chests remained familiar and standard, even though you can find a huge amount of different types of wood in the biomes. Why have the developers still not added new types of containers to the game so that they at least differ in appearance? The More Chests modification adds new types of chests to Minecraft, which can be crafted not only from wood but also from copper, gold, various metals, and even wool. The main advantage of this add-on is the variety of blocks used in crafting. For players, this is a really useful mechanic that makes it possible to add many new recipes and use all types of chests not only as decoration but also to increase storage space. Many containers here have greater capacity, so users will have an additional incentive to create such types of chests in the game world.

Now you will have the ability to craft not only new wooden chests but also chests made from all available metals and wool. Finally, this material is used in new recipes, offering players additional functionality. In total, about 30 different chests are added, each with its own unique appearance and a specific capacity. These elements are used not only for loot rooms but also simply as decoration, for example, if a player needs to choose items for a beautiful treasure room or a medieval-style storage.

Wool Chests

The game now features chests made of wool. This is a serious breakthrough for vanilla Minecraft, as players will now have more crafting options. You can find the recipes in our review: you will need just 8 blocks of wool to make one item. But if a player has already made some chest, they can quickly recolor it simply by adding a vanilla dye. In this way, you can save wool if you accidentally chose the wrong color.

The containers can be both standard single chests and double chests. Their capacity is the same as that of regular chests in Minecraft. They look very high quality and beautiful: compared to wooden variants, they have sharper edges, textures, and more contrasting colors. Another important feature is the modified GUI interface when interacting with a chest. If you are going to put something inside and right-click, a separate window will open, dyed in the color of the chest. And this mechanic applies to all types of containers in the game.

New Types of Wooden Chests

The second important category is storage containers created from different types of wood. In the vanilla version of the game, the structure of the chest was always the same no matter what wood you used to craft it. Here, everything changes: you will have about a dozen new chests, each with its own unique appearance. You can see crafting examples in this material: a simple recipe borrowed from standard Minecraft, with only the type of wood changed.

Double chests will also be available here, and you will be able to create them as well. They have almost the same appearance as the small containers. When using wooden variants, the GUI interface does not change and remains the same as that of a regular chest. Here, the developer decided not to add anything new to preserve the familiar vanilla style of the game.

Chests Made from New Materials

The most interesting category for you is chests made from new materials, which can be used to expand storage slots. You will be able to create new containers from iron, copper, gold, diamonds, and netherite. However, only single variants can be crafted (the developer did not add double ones). And if you try to place them next to each other, they will remain separate.

· Copper chests – 36 slots;

· Iron chests – 54 slots;

· Golden chests – 72 slots;

· Diamond chests – 108 slots;

· Netherite chests – 162 slots.

A very convenient system that allows you to constantly improve your storage, using only the containers necessary for a specific room. Copper and iron now have additional crafting options, since these materials are often found in mines and accumulate in large quantities among players.

The More Chests modification uses an upgrade system for metal chests. For example, you first create a wooden container, and then add copper to it. If you already have such a chest or an iron one, you add gold in the recipe, and so on. In the end, you will have to upgrade each container “step by step,” and you will not be able to craft the highest-tier one right away at the start. Even golden chests require a lot of resources, so this will definitely have a positive effect on the server’s economy!

As a result, as you can see, the possibilities of this add-on are truly extensive. In total, about 30 new chests are added, some of which have increased capacity. Create containers from all metals, wood, and wool, and make full use of the functionality of each one. It's an excellent mod also for those who simply wanted to add new decorative items that can also hold blocks and store them.
