Mooshrooms in Minecraft normally spawn mainly on mushroom islands with mycelium. Only there can you find these mobs, which allow you to constantly obtain mushroom stew. Searching for such locations can take a long time, and if a player has just started their survival journey, the chance of finding one is very low. In the Overworld, mooshrooms do not spawn naturally. However, if you transport them from the island and start breeding them, you can sell them to other players on a server or use them as a primary source of food.

The Mooshroom Tweaks modification changes the standard mooshroom spawn system, allowing them to appear in any Minecraft biome. There is no longer a need to search for a specific location to find these mobs. Now players can randomly encounter mooshrooms in almost any biome (various types of forests, plains, and so on). This opens up new development opportunities right from the very start of survival and slightly changes the standard vanilla Minecraft mechanics. In this article, we not only show but also explain the main advantages of this mod!

The mooshroom is an important mob in Minecraft, because it allows you to obtain mushroom stew, which restores 3 hunger shanks. You do not need to craft these meals—simply approach the animal with an empty bowl and right-click it. This system makes it possible to obtain an infinite amount of food at any time, for example for long journeys. And if a server also modifies stack sizes to allow multiple bowls to stack in a single inventory slot, this becomes an absolute game-changer for players. However, mooshrooms can normally only be found on mushroom islands. With this mod, you change that mechanic, allowing these animals to spawn in almost any biome.

These creatures can spawn in various types of forests, plains, near lakes and rivers, as well as in mountainous terrain. They can be either red mooshrooms or brown ones. The developer added a separate configuration file where you can adjust the probability of a brown mooshroom spawning. By default, the value is set to 0.5, meaning 50%, but you can change this value. And if you would like to further improve interaction with these creatures in the game, we recommend additionally installing one or more mods from the following list:
· Mooblooms — new types of mooshrooms that spawn throughout the entire game world. They come in different colors and can be used to harvest various plants depending on their coloration;
· Brown Mooshroom — this modification adds more brown mooshrooms to the game, since by default this variant is very rare in the vanilla version;
· Nether Mooshrooms — new types of mooshrooms appear in the Nether (in crimson and warped forests), providing players with new types of food and resources;
· Moolands — not only unique types of cows are added to Minecraft, but also an entire mushroom-like dimension. Here, animals can jump high and fly, move quickly, and the dimension itself feels bizarre and very strange to the player.

All these add-ons not only diversify the overall atmosphere of the game, but also allow you to experience how important mooshrooms are in the vanilla world and how to interact with them. You gain the ability to constantly loot resources, quickly replenish food supplies, and find animals to tame in most dimensions and biomes. The gameplay mechanics change slightly, and Mooshroom Tweaks is the most important mod on this list, as it evenly distributes mooshrooms across the entire game world. The breeding mechanics remain the same as in the vanilla version of the game.

A large number of mooshrooms provides you not only with a constant supply of mushroom stew, but also with the ability to obtain leather and meat if regular animals are scarce. You will now encounter brown mooshrooms with a higher probability, even if you do not change any settings. However, if you wish, you can modify the BrownChance parameter, which specifically controls brown mooshroom spawning. The higher the value, the greater the chance. When breeding animals, offspring inherit the traits of their parents, and when crossbreeding different cow variants, the probability is 50%.

So what do we get in the end? A pleasant and well-optimized mod that allows mooshrooms to spawn throughout the entire game world and lets you configure the spawn chance for brown variants. If players wish, they can also install several additional add-ons mentioned above. For farmers, this is useful and interesting content with new mechanics. In the comments, you can write which other mods you use for these types of animals (for example, some players add buttercup cows from Live, which never made it into a full release after the vote).
