New Cave Biomes helps diversify boring caves by adding 7 new underground biomes to the generated world. Hidden within the depths of these caves are ores of varying rarity, from which you can craft an additional set of armor and tools. New mobs also inhabit all caves. Some of them pose a serious danger, while others can even be traded with.

The first added biome is the Mushroom Caves. Mushrooms grow here in abundance, so the entire biome consists of mycelium and mushroom trees. While exploring these caves, you can encounter a large number of endermen and endermites, which have an increased spawn rate here, as well as hostile mushroom monsters. Magmatic Ravines are a hot biome filled with lava lakes and streams. The entire landscape is covered with black sand, magma blocks, and dried plants. In addition to vanilla mobs, a wandering spirit roams the ravine and will attack the player at the first opportunity.

Another hot biome is the Dried Caves. They were once filled with water, but now only sand, new ores, and cacti remain. Due to the large number of cacti and sand, the biome resembles a desert. Here you can also find a cactus turtle, which pretends to be one of the cacti. It is neutral by itself, but will deal damage upon contact.
In the Slime Caves, green colors dominate. The entire biome is filled with slime blocks, green plants, and emeralds. Here you can encounter the ancient Slizard, which greatly dislikes mushroom mobs. If you feed the Slizard a honey block, it will lay eggs. Ice Ravines are the complete opposite of magmatic ones. They are found only in cold biomes. Ice spikes grow from the ceiling and floor of these caves, and new ore and crystals can be mined from the walls. An icy version of the wandering spirit also roams here, throwing ice balls at the player.

Flesh Pit is a completely rotten biome. It is extremely dangerous and requires serious preparation, as it is infested with zombies and skeletons. With a small chance, a flesh tendril can emerge from a rotten pile. If not dealt with in time, it will grow into a large flesh golem. It will be aggressive toward the player, villagers, and iron golems. Crimson crystals can also be mined here from a corresponding geode. Crystal Deposit is a grassy biome rich in various crystals and ores. It is inhabited by living stones made of rock fragments and crystals. They are neutral by default but become hostile when damaged. The natural enemy of living stones is the cactus turtle from the sandy biome.

New Cave Biomes adds several dangerous dungeons to world generation that can be encountered while exploring the new caves. The treasure rooms in these dungeons are guarded by spawners with hostile mobs. The mod also adds many new geodes, resembling vanilla amethyst geodes. From their crystals, you can craft new armor, tools, and decorative blocks. Added geodes:
· Red – the most common of all, but only generates in deep caves.
· Orange – generates only in magmatic ravines and dried caves.
· Crimson – generates in the Flesh Pit and occasionally in mushroom caves.
· Green – generates exclusively in slime caves.
· Blue – generates in ice ravines.

New ingots can be crafted from the mined crystals. To do this, they must be combined with gold and a bucket of lava on a crafting table. The ingots are used to craft armor whose stats are somewhere between iron and diamond. However, it provides resistance points. If the player has full health, resistance allows them to ignore mob attacks, taking only 1 point of damage. The upgraded version of this armor is better than diamond but slightly worse than netherite. Additionally, it has no knockback.

The new ingots can also be used to craft totems and amulets that increase stats when held in hand. In addition, the mod adds some food items that drop as loot from cave mobs. For example, zombie hand soup applies a poison effect, while a cactus simply deals 1 point of damage.

All newly introduced biomes contain new blocks and types of wood. Decorative blocks can also be crafted from crystals. From the new planks, just like from vanilla ones, you can craft doors, fences, and fence gates. The new blocks allow for more diverse builds, expanding creative possibilities.

The mod introduces several new professions for villagers and, accordingly, unique trades. The geologist allows you to sell or buy minerals добытые in caves. The butcher trades new food items and can also buy rotten flesh obtained in the Flesh Pit.
In addition to New Cave Biomes, you must install GeckoLib. It is a forward kinematics engine for Minecraft that ensures proper animation functionality.
