Review Just Enough Professions (JEP)

Just Enough Professions – information about professions

The player has to interact with civilians all the time, because they can give you a lot of useful blocks, tools, items, and if you also perform the «infection and treatment ceremony», then almost every NPC will give you a discount when trading, and this is a really significant advantage for survival. But often the player doesn’t understand a profession of a particular civilian and what block they need to install to get certain resources. And if you have other add-ons with new NPCs installed, then you can get completely confused here. And here we have the Just Enough Professions mod that comes to the rescue, which adds information about professions to the game.

The main task of the Just Enough Professions mod is to tell you and show which tool or blocks different civilians’ professions need, what they look like. Moreover, it applies not only to the vanilla game version, but to any other add-ons as well, which add new NPCs to Minecraft. This is an important feature, not only for beginners, but for experienced players as well, as you can quickly understand where NPCs come from, how they differ, how to interact with them, and so on.

The Just Enough Professions mod review

The Just Enough Professions add-on offers a small but important function to any Minecraft player: you can get detailed information about civilians’ professions and see which blocks they need to reassign any NPC in the game. It’s not only convenient, but also fast. These mechanics will be effective for both a novice Minecraft player and an experienced one. For example, you’ve found a village of civilians, and there are numerous NPCs there. You need to get as much granite or armor from the villagers as possible, but how do you understand what profession to assign them, and which block you need?

Here, we resort to the Just Enough Professions mod, which provides us with all the necessary information. For this, you just need to take the summoning egg from creative mode and press the U key to display a separate menu. It shows a complete list of professions, and the system informs whether they are from the vanilla game version or not. You can switch between them and see which blocks are required for these civilians’ professions. Generally speaking, it’s a very useful content which you can call with a single key. But it’s not all that the developer added.…

For example, the player needs to see what additional professions civilians have after installing other mods (Vampirism, Beekeeper) and so on. After all, such information is usually limited on the Internet, and not every developer offers detailed guides about their products. What should you do in this case? Again, we turn to Just Enough Professions. The mod will show all the information about the added NPCs and civilians’ professions, and you won’t have to look for this data on the web or translate dozens of texts from other languages. To cut it short, it’s a really useful add-on for Minecraft, which the number of downloads proves – there are more than 28 million of them!

By the way, if you don’t have access to the creative mode to take a civilian’s egg, you can still use the function. You can hover over the emerald in the inventory and press the U key to get the relevant information. First, you’ll see the crafts available for emeralds, but you can find information about professions in a separate tab. It also should be mentioned that you must have JEI installed, as Just Enough Professions is an addition to this mod. Select all the files for your launcher assembly and install it. And if you use Tlauncher, you can install all the mods in one click.

In general, this is all the information about this add-on, and we’ve clearly demonstrated how the system works. You can check all the professions in Minecraft anytime, as well as get information about every NPC available in peaceful villages. Keep in mind that hundreds of mods have been created for this game, adding or modifying civilians, and most of the add-ons belong to the global category, as they are in demand among users and are constantly updated by developers. If you still have questions about Just Enough Professions or want to get some information about other add-ons, just ask in the comments, and we’ll do our best to help you.
