In Minecraft, there is a kind of hostile mobs called Evokers, who drop totems, which you can use as talismans that allow you to rise quickly from the dead. Rather, you won’t actually die, but the player will lose their totem. These items give players additional opportunities in the game world of Minecraft, even in case of falling into lava, being half-killed by a mob, or just falling into the abyss. This is a kind of «second life», and if you have several totems, you finally get more opportunities. Do you realize what options the items gives you?

However, the standard Minecraft mechanics implies that the character carries the totem in the second hand, which isn’t always convenient, since you often need to hold a shield to block damage, potions, and the totem simply takes up an extra and important slot. Although the character can hold the totem in any hand, this still creates certain problems. And what if you used an item and immediately received huge damage? During this period, you may find it difficult to switch between cells and put the second totem into the active slot! This is where mods like Inventory Totem come to your rescue!

The Inventory Totem add-on will change the totems’ standard mechanics in Minecraft and add open up opportunities for players. From now on, you won’t have to put the item in the active slot of the hand: all you need is to throw it into any of your inventory cells, and it will work in the same way. That is, the player can use as many as a few totems in Minecraft at once, and even if they die more than once, e.g. 1, 2, 3 times in a row, the item will still save their life. It all comes down to the number of totems that you put in your inventory. As you can see, it results in even this small mechanic being able to largely transform the general gameplay of the game.

Evokers drop the totems by 1 piece even if you use a sword with the «Loot» effect. To collect more items, you need to craft full-fledged measures, and then you can carry several totems so that you can stay alive in case of death threats. This is an extremely important item on almost any Minecraft server, especially when you visit certain important biomes, locations, or dimensions, including modified ones. The totem is also important for users playing in the «hardcore» mode, and if you widely use such sessions, install the Inventory Totem mod and forget about all the problems.

The Inventory Totem add-on provides several more general benefits for the player, since his second hand eventually remains free. You can feel free to put a shield or a bow there to quickly switch between the items. There are also separate mods that allow you to enchant shields in Minecraft, and then the player will get not just protection, but unique items that can significantly increase basic characteristics and combat effectiveness. The Inventory Totem mod works with almost all loaders (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge, and Quilt), and is already available for Minecraft version 1.21.1, so download and take advantage of it.

As soon as you install Inventory Totem, all the functions will be activated automatically. Just put the totem in any free cell of your inventory and enjoy the gameplay. We recommend putting several of them at once, if possible. Just don’t put them into separate backpacks, as the Inventory Totem mod doesn’t understand that the totem is in there. Put it in the players’ regular slot, in quick-access cells, or just into your inventory.
