Review Leon's Illager Trader

Trading Pillagers in Minecraft

In Minecraft, you can go to a village of peaceful villagers to start trading with any NPC that has a profession (armorers, farmers, leatherworkers, and many others). However, wouldn't it be interesting to diversify the game world and scatter some other trading mobs across different biomes? This way, you could approach them anytime and buy unique goods. Hundreds of mods have been created to enhance trading with NPCs in the game world, but in this review, we will tell you how to exchange resources and goods with hostile mobs—Pillagers!

The Leon's Illager Trader mod adds special outposts (houses) with pillagers in Minecraft, where friendly traders will appear. They do not attack the player and can provide various types of goods, blocks, and items, even though they look just like the standard pillagers that attack peaceful villages in the game. Completely new types of deals, a unique house (structure) in the game world, and a new profession among all available NPCs. This is a great opportunity to diversify the normal dimension in the game and add more random structures. Sounds interesting?

A new house will randomly generate in the game world, where a trader in the form of a pillager will appear. He is neutral towards players and shows no aggression, so you can safely approach him and start trading. This mob has unique deals that you won’t find with other NPCs in a peaceful village or with a wandering trader. If you're interested in obtaining new types of goods or simply want to participate in the trading process, installing the mod is definitely worth it.

The trader appears in a small house always after a new map is generated. If you find such a structure, you can head to it right away or mark the location to return later. The NPC trades goods in the same way as standard villagers in Minecraft. If you want to obtain new items, you need to level up the pillager to unlock a unique set. This set belongs to the "totem" category, so it has textures similar to a unique totem from the vanilla version of the game.

You can obtain a full set from the trader if you need this type of armor. Trading is done with emeralds, and at some levels, you will need to pay about 32-64 emeralds per item. However, in the end, you will receive a unique armor set that cannot be crafted. It looks really impressive, though its characteristics are not as strong compared to diamond or netherite armor. Check out the screenshots we've uploaded to see how your character will look in Minecraft after purchasing the unique set in the Leon's Illager Trader mod. You will also have the opportunity to buy an emerald sword. The vanilla version of the game lacks such items, even though valuable materials of this category exist.

The trader has a limited stock of goods, so you can only trade a certain number of items. However, within one cycle, you can level up completely and obtain about 2-3 full sets. To do this, you will need about 9 stacks of emeralds. If you don’t have that many, you can start by leveling up regular villagers in a village and obtaining resources from them by selling different types of goods. Additionally, if you cure each one multiple times, you will get significant discounts, allowing you to acquire more blocks and materials in the game.

The new location offers many opportunities for players, both in terms of exploration and trading with pillagers. However, be careful not to confuse hostile mobs with this unique NPC, who only appears in his house. By the way, this location most often spawns in plains, and if you use elytra in Minecraft, the easiest way to spot the structure is from the air. The house looks nice from the outside, but inside, there are only a few rooms, so there isn’t much space to explore. At night, mobs don’t usually enter, but if one accidentally gets inside, the pillager will not defend himself since he belongs to the category of peaceful villagers.

In creative mode, you can use the command /locate structure illager_trader:illager_trader_house to quickly find the trader’s house if you have trouble locating it in survival mode. This allows you to save time and test all the features added to the game after installing the mod. In conclusion, this is a well-made mod from the developer, appealing to many players, as the traders offer genuinely interesting and unique goods for everyone.
