In the civilians’ village in Minecraft, only primitive Gothic churches are generated, which is the very level that is included in the game by default, so the player won’t see anything else. That’s why developers create third-party mods to make Minecraft better and brighter. This is a unique structure that is randomly generated in the cubic world. We have already talked about the mods made by this author, and some of them you could use in your build.

The Gothic Church mod adds a beautiful Gothic church to Minecraft, which will stand out from the rest of the buildings in the vanilla game version. It looks obviously cooler than the standard building in the civil village, so you’ll definitely like this option. By the way, we’ve already talked about the Villager Clock Tower add-on, which has around the same style. When we described one of the mods and installed both at once, the buildings were generated side-by-side, and they looked really great. In this article, we’ve posted a few screenshots showing both buildings, but after installing the Gothic Church, only a Gothic church appears by default!

This mod will spawn only one building in the game world – a Gothic church, which is significantly different from all the other vanilla buildings that you can see in various dungeons and biomes. It appears mainly in forests and plains, so always consider this factor when searching for these structures. You’ll have to spend long hours searching in the regular survival mode, as they aren’t generated very often. First, fly over the plains, and only then look in the forests. You can easily see such a structure among the thick vegetation (trees), as it towers over all the trunks and differs from the rest of the biome. For example, we’ve seen a church in the lowlands near a mine.

The church is made mainly of stone, masonry, cobblestone, and wood. Lanterns are installed around the building and on all of its tiers so that the building is illuminated at night. In this case, there are by times fewer hostile mobs spawning here, so you can safely approach the church and see what’s going on inside. Which is very interesting! The developer has made a kind of benches where people or characters can sit. There are vases everywhere, and the entire interior is illuminated by lanterns. There is also a main altar, where all the most important events and meetings take place.

Both the interior and exterior of the new Gothic church in Minecraft looks beautiful, and the developer has done a great job on many elements to make it a really interesting building and stimulate the players to come here. Inside, they’ll find several containers with valuable contents. Various types of valuable materials, items, weapons, and a bit of food will spawn there. Not as much as you’d like to get, but it’s still free loot for players, so such structures are worth searching to get some loot in the game. In the screenshots, you can see which resources are available in various containers in churches.

There are no civilians in the building, as it was in the Villager Clock Tower mod by the same author, but you can install both these add-ons to expand the range of buildings in the game world. In general, this is a good motivation for players to explore new locations and get free loot. Besides, the player can occupy the church if he wants and make it his home by simply redesigning it. Here, all the standard items are available: workbenches, chests, and barrels, and all you need to install is a bed. Then, you can develop the way you want, but don’t forget that mobs can still appear around the building at night, despite the numerous lanterns.

Can’t find a Gothic church after installing the Gothic Church mod? The /locate structure villager_clock_tower:clock_tower command is available to players with creative mode, which allows you to quickly teleport to a point where this structure is located. You won’t have to look for it among various biomes, although we’ve talked about the locations where new types of churches will spawn in Minecraft at the beginning of this review. To sum up, we can say that this is a good building and a new structure for players, which makes the game world even more interesting. They don’t spawn very often, so if you find a church in the game world, be sure to set a mark on the map so as not to miss its coordinates.
