Glass blocks in Minecraft are used not only for decoration or creation of something like buildings, houses, castles, but also in many farms and mechanisms. With these blocks, players can craft full-fledged platforms, use glass to make new items, so, the blocks are really in demand. The Connected Glass mod will diversify the standard glass textures in the game and add new interconnected types. The Connected Glass mod adds important mechanics to Minecraft: most types of glasses from this add-on will be installed «seamlessly». That is, there will be no joints, faces, textures, and other things between the blocks. This kind of mechanics allows you to construct unique buildings and lighten them using panoramic windows. It looks far more beautiful and interesting. Just as a reminder – in the usual vanilla version of Minecraft, a block with all faces drawn is used by default, and no matter how many glasses you install, there will always be a certain strip between them, both for a standard block and a dyed one.

We’ve specially taken a few screenshots from the standard game version so that you can see how a standard glass block will look in the game, and what faces it will have by default. Next, pay attention to the screenshots from the Connected Glass mod to compare them with the previous ones. In total, over a hundred different items have been added here: blocks, panels, various types of dyed items, and many other options. The choice is really broad, and with this add-on, you can significantly enhance standard buildings in the game.

Take a look at the following screenshots. These are glass blocks from the Connected Glass mod. They have faces on the last blocks only, but in the middle everything is transparent. Besides, these are simple blocks similar to vanilla ones, and you can see small «scratches» here. And the mod developer has added absolutely transparent blocks. Absolutely clear glasses will have a Clear label, and they can be both of the standard type and colored, for example, white, green, and many others. If you install such blocks in the game, the buildings’ appearance will change before your eyes. One of the ways to use the mod is to build modern houses, penthouses, and villas.

If a player puts several different types of «clear» glasses, then there will be faces between them, since their color is different. Be sure to take this in mind if you want to create a kind of mosaic or any other type of interior design for your buildings. But still, such block options look presentable and interesting compared to vanilla textures. Millions of players have already appreciated them, as the Connected Glass add-on has been downloaded more than 18 million times, and at the time of writing the review, a version for Minecraft 1.20.4 was already available. It looks cool, doesn’t it? But it’s hard to fully convey the atmosphere of this mod in screenshots, and it’s easier to download it than to look at the pictures in the descriptions.

How do you like the glass panels? This is a real art for this kind of game, and the developer has put a lot of effort into making such a full-fledged mod with a wide range of different blocks. You’re unlikely to use standard glass materials from Minecraft when you have a broad selection of blocks from the Connected Glass add-on, given that they are seamless, can be absolutely transparent, and have matte shades. With such a broad selection, you can make tinted windows, pixel art, different types of farms, considering the permeability of light, and many other buildings.

Another new kind of glass is scratched versions. They will have more lines, different inclusions, although there will be no joints between the blocks if the player sets blocks of the same type and color. But if you compare them with vanilla glasses, then there are by times more «scratches» here, which makes them a separate type of materials that you can use at your discretion. They perfectly suit many styles and interiors, can complement fully transparent glasses in Minecraft or «diversify» the surroundings. In the screenshots below, you can see how it generally look.

In general, we can say that the Connected Glass add-on brings a lot of interesting mechanics to the game, although you may think that the changes affect glass items only. But these are important objects in Minecraft, and the player has to interact with them all the time, both at the start and in the middle of survival, in any biome. Be sure to try to build a colorful underwater house and use new types of blocks from Connected Glass to appreciate all its advantages and benefits.
