It is a mod that significantly expands the Minecraft cookery. The recipes of dishes have now become more complicated, and their preparation is more interesting. Thus, to make soup or cook a delicious roast, you will now have to master special utensils: stoves, braziers, and even frying pans, which can be crafted. Warm, delicious, and hearty food is also available in taverns, which you can erect with the subsequent appointment of villagers that will work for the benefit of your stomach.

Natural Blocks

The mod adds three tree species: the walnut tree, fig tree, and wolfberry tree. All the trees can be grown using the bone meal. With its help, you can also accelerate the ripening of the respective fruits on the trees, as they will be useful to you for making spices and oils. Besides, they are edible as such, are quite nutritious, and replenish four hunger and one and a half satiation points each.

Besides the fruits, the walnut tree allows you to take advantage of the new wood block with a rather pleasant texture and is suitable for crafting all the standard wood things, including the boat and bookshelf.

Blocks

The mod adds three new blocks that can be found in caves or underwater: the pumice, opus incertum, and felsic tuff.  Besides, you can create three more blocks in the crafting table by combining the standard and new blocks.

From most of the blocks, you will be able to craft standard building blocks and new, unusual items such as stoves, chimneys, countertops, or columns.

Cookery

Cooking with this mod implies the application of a large number of kitchen utensils. These are ovens, frying pans, barbecues, and even special mashers for obtaining liquids.

Stove. You can craft one of the stoves added by the mod. They come in five variants that virtually differ only in appearance while having exactly the same functionality. The stove is used to heat the pots and pans. It has a small GUI for loading fuel. On its top, there is a flat surface for a pot.

Countertop With a Dolium. In fact, it is an ancient analog of a juicer or masher. It is created according to the five available crafting recipes and can also hold stews.

It features a small GUI to place the necessary items and a button showing the possible recipes. By the way, the oil needed for frying is made precisely in this countertop.

Stew Pot. It is used for the preparation of liquid dishes: soups, stews, etc. To get the stew pot, you should make a clay pot in the crafting table and then burn it in the oven.

It also features a GUI, recipes, and a heat indicator. For the pot to work, it must be placed on the stove or other burning surface.

Portable Brazier. You can use it to get hot food during long journeys. Unlike the pot, the brazier has its own ignition system, but you will not be able to properly cook on it. It is needed for the quick defrosting of the aspic into a soup and features about 16 nutritious recipes inside. It is created from the clay brazier burnt in the oven.

Frying Pan. The mod adds three types of frying pans: stone, copper, and iron. As the name suggests, the pan is needed to cook fried dishes.

It also features a GUI and recipes. For the frying pan to cook, it needs to be placed on a heated block, such as the oven or campfire.

Foodstuffs

Before proceeding to cooking, you will have to make basic ingredients you cannot do without. These are water bowls, milk bowls, boiled water bowls, and oil.

All the bowls are created in the crafting table in the standard way. Only oil requires the countertop with a dolium.

Then you should prepare the spices. There are four of them, and their recipes are quite simple. They basically come down to a clay pot and some plants collected in the game world.

The mod adds a lot of diverse foodstuffs. Their recipes are simple enough, provided that you learn how to use the various dishes.

In fact, it is only at first glance that everything looks incomprehensible and complicated, with all the numerous transformations and recipes. All the dishes are actually intuitive and realistic, and for those who have no idea what ingredients some soup consists of, there are buttons with recipes available in all the mini-GUIs.

You will be able to cook a large number of different soups, from which you can make an aspic for more compact storage in the inventory, as well as several fried dishes, such as fried vegetables and stews.
