Review Brazilian Biomes

Brazilian Biomes organically integrates into the vanilla Minecraft world, adding exotic fruits, realistic mobs, as well as beautiful biomes inspired by the breathtaking nature of South America. Now, biomes based on real natural regions of Brazil will generate in the world. These include the Amazon Rainforest, the Atlantic Forest, the Araucaria Plateau, the Cerrado, the Pampas, and the coastal Restinga dunes. All of these biomes will be filled with a wide variety of new wildlife and vegetation bearing ripe fruits.

Biomes

All added biomes are very scenic and lush. Thanks to the favorable and warm climate, Brazil’s forests are home to an enormous diversity of living creatures and plants, making these jungles nearly impassable. The mod carefully recreates them, bringing them into the procedurally generated Minecraft world. Brazilian Biomes replaces the grass texture with a more yellowish one and also adds a falling leaves effect. All added biomes consist of new trees, foliage, and flowers.

All new biomes:

· Amazon River Mouth Forest – a new, lush, and actively blooming forest with numerous flowing rivers.

· Atlantic Forest – a variation of vanilla tropics. It grows mainly along the coastline, without extending deep into the continent.

· Araucaria Plateau – a sub-biome of the Atlantic Forest.

· Cerrado – a hot biome with vast open areas, somewhat resembling a savanna.

· Pampas – a flat landscape with dense grass, flowers, and solitary trees.

· Pantanal – a heavily swampy area with numerous lakes and moist thickets.

· Restinga Beach – located along the coast and featuring a large number of sand dunes and lagoons.

Mobs

Almost all added biomes are inhabited by wildlife characteristic of Brazil’s nature. Capybaras and a variety of parrots are the most common of all mobs. They roam the new forests, adding a distinctive tropical atmosphere to the game along with unique loot.

Food and Plants

On the vast majority of trees, you can find ripe fruits and berries, as well as grow new crops yourself. Some harvested fruits provide a short-term positive effect, while others, on the contrary, are poisonous if prepared incorrectly. The rest do nothing at all. In addition, the world gains a wide variety of flowering foliage and flowers that can be used to craft dyes.

Many berries can be used to craft potions and drinks with different effects, depending on the method of preparation. You can also craft traditional Brazilian soups and other dishes.

Some of the fruits:

· Cashew – cashew nuts can be obtained in the Restinga Dunes biome. To obtain an edible fruit, the cashew nut collected from the leaves of the cashew tree must be placed on a crafting table. As a result, you will receive a cashew fruit and an apple. The apple can be eaten immediately, while the fruit must be cooked.

· Brazil nut – harvested from the leaves of tall trees in the Amazon Rainforest biome. To open it, you need to right-click the fruit while holding cobblestone in your hand. As a result, you will obtain a nut with husk and shell. The shell can be used to craft a bowl. The peeled nut can be consumed either raw or cooked.

· Fruits – almost every biome has its own exotic fruit. In the Atlantic Forest and on the Araucaria Plateau, pitanga grows, also known as Brazilian cherry. Pineapple guava grows on the Araucaria Plateau. In the Amazon rainforests, guarana grows, consuming which temporarily increases movement speed. On the beach and in the Cerrado, you can find mangaba and wolf apple.

New Blocks

All added trees consist of new types of wood and foliage, adding variety to construction and opening up new architectural possibilities. From the new planks, just like from vanilla ones, you can craft new doors, fences, fence gates, and stairs, which will have their own characteristic colors and textures.

New Ore and Weapons

Caves have also undergone changes. Now, with a small chance, a new crystalline ore will spawn in them. From it, you can craft a full set of tools, excluding armor. In terms of characteristics, the items are not inferior to diamond ones and in some aspects even surpass them, but the new ore will also be harder to find. The crafting recipe is the same as in vanilla. You will need several sticks and the mined ore.

Compatibility

Brazilian Biomes naturally integrates into vanilla Minecraft and is also compatible with almost all other mods, making it a good option for many modpacks. The mod is actively updated and transitioned to new game versions.
