Review of the Archers' Arsenal Mod

Once you install the Archers' Arsenal to your build, the ranged combat system in Minecraft will immediately change. For now, it can boast more than 240 thousand downloads, being arguably one of the best mods in this category. It brings several unique bows, each with a unique appearance, specific recipe, and features. After installing the add-on, you will see several new bows in Minecraft. Their number will be five, and each of them will have some advantages and new features compared to the standard item of the same type in the vanilla game version. They are as follows:

The leather bow can be crafted from leather only and so can be made even at the very start of survival after you kill a few pigs. As you know, in the vanilla game version, you need strings and feathers and have to kill chickens and spiders. Here, the process is much simpler. The new bow has 7–11 damage points, and that is quite enough to fight the basic mobs: spiders, creepers, skeletons, and zombies.

The iron bow is a more advanced weapon, which will deal 9–14 damage. It is thus more powerful than the leather one and, moreover, more durable. Besides, it looks much more interesting: if you look closely, you will see a colorful golden insert in the middle. It is recommended to craft such a weapon only if you have accumulated a sufficient amount of iron.

The golden bow is quite average but can boast a unique feature in the form of an inherent default enchantment. That is, after crafting it, the Natural Infinity effect will be superimposed on you, which will allow you to shoot arrows without a limit. This enchantment resembles the vanilla Infinity but can be combined with the Strength and other standard effects. The bow deals 10–16 damage, looks stylish, and allows you to quickly and effectively kill any mobs from a distance without having to waste arrows.

The diamond bow is a very stylish and colorful weapon added by the Archers' Arsenal mod, notable for its eye-pleasing and bright textures. As its name suggests, it requires diamonds, but you can enchant it with the Strength effect and use it constantly without spending additional resources. Besides, you can install the Uncrafter mod to dismantle items and get back some of the resources spent on them.

The netherite bow is the last weapon added by this mod, but it cannot be crafted in the standard way. So you will have to mix a diamond bow and a netherite ingot on the anvil like you do when you want to craft a netherite sword. As a result, you get a fire-resistant bow that will never burn in lava, even if the player dies — it will be enough just to return to the point of death before your belongings disappear.

Those are all weapons added by the mod. Be sure to take a close look at the appearance of each bow, check its recipe, and learn about its features. Archers' Arsenal is a great option that adds ranged weapons, so it is not surprising that it is included in many major builds, both medieval-themed and others. However, that is not the whole story, as it also brings a quiver and several types of arrows.

The quiver is a unique in-game item that will allow you to slightly save arrows. Thus, if you equip it in the off-hand slot, it will preserve any shot arrow with a 20% chance. It is made of leather and is not particularly expensive. However, it will break over time. Besides, the mod adds two new arrow types:

The villager arrow is a simplified version of the standard in-game arrows, which deal slightly less damage. However, they are easier to craft and, like the leather bow, can be used even at the initial stages of survival when the player does not have anything yet.

The barbed arrow is a unique and powerful arrow type crafted from an iron nugget. They deal 9–14 damage, depending on the bow used, are more expensive, and are quite effective. They are particularly suitable for mob farms, where the ordinary arrows are less effective and have to be used massively.

That is all the functionality featured by the Archers' Arsenal mod at the moment. The fans of the in-game combat system will surely appreciate it because, with the help of this mod, they will be able to diversify the gameplay and get extra advantages in battle. At the same time, all the items are made in the vanilla style and have many features. You choose which bows and arrows to craft, but eventually, each of you will be able to create the netherite bow with a full list of enchantments and go to the Nether to kill all mobs from a distance. And even if you die, the bow can always be returned, as it does not burn in lava.
