The mod adds a long list of new ores from the Terraria mod to Minecraft. Thus, there will be about 25 new ores in all three dimensions of the world. By mining, melting, and processing them, you’ll be able to craft unique sets of weapons, armor, and tools that will make it easier for you to proceed through the game. But don’t count on doing everything quickly and easily – many ores can be mined with special picks only, and you’ll have to study new crafts to turn these ores into ingots.
The total number of the swords added by the mod is 25, which you’ll need to craft from ingots of new ores on the workbench or in the forge. The simplest sword – the Tin one – adds +5.5 damage. The most powerful – the Ilmenite – adds +20 damage and makes small explosions as a bonus.
27 hammers will appear in the game, which you can also craft on the workbench or on the Blacksmith’s Table. You can craft hammers using either ores added by the mod or such vanilla blocks as wood, iron, diamonds, and gold. The weakest – the Wooden one – adds +8 damage, and the strongest &ndash the Ilmenite &ndash adds +21 damage and creates small explosions as a bonus.
Besides, you can also use every new ingot to craft a full set of vanilla tools. Moreover, you’ll have to craft them, since you can use the common Netherite pickaxe to mine the starting ores only. The rarer and more expensive they are, the stronger pickaxe you must have to mine them. Well, you’ll need the rest of the tools because they are stronger, faster, and more durable than vanilla ones.
You can also use all new ores to craft full armor sets. The rarer and more expensive the ore is, the more powerful and useful the armor made of it will be. The initial and most accessible ores allow you to craft a common, vanilla-level armor. The rest can not only provide powerful protection, but also complement it with various effects, depending on the ore. Thus, being the most powerful in the game, the Ilmenite armor provides protection that is three points higher than the vanilla Netherite one, plus imposing the permanent Speed and Regeneration II effects on the player, making you almost immortal.
