Viewing the contents of a shulker in the inventory

What types of containers are most often used in Minecraft to store resources? At the start, usually chests, then barrels, and if the player has already reached a certain level of progression on the map and visited the End, then they have shulkers, which can be used not only to store but also to carry large amounts of resources. However, interaction with such containers in the vanilla version of the game is not very convenient: you have to place the shulker on the ground each time to open it, view the contents, take what you need, and then “break” the block back to put it in your inventory. If at that moment any mob or player approaches from behind, you can lose resources, the entire shulker, or even die. Therefore, there are other alternatives...

The Advanced Shulkerboxes modification changes the standard interaction mechanics with shulkers, allowing you to open them without placing them on the ground. This is much more convenient and easier for any player, both in the overworld and in all other dimensions. At the same time, the contents or any properties of the shulker will not change. The new mechanic is very handy and extremely useful both for vanilla survival and for modded playthroughs. The shulker box is one of the best additions to Minecraft, helping to carry large amounts of blocks and items over any distance. These same containers can be used to sell various goods in shops, store loot, and many other purposes. But, as mentioned earlier, the interaction system with them is not very convenient, so all interested players are recommended to try the mod we describe in our review. You will have the ability to view the contents in several ways without placing the shulker on the ground. This saves a lot of time and provides many other benefits. So, let’s talk about the features and advantages of Advanced Shulkerboxes:

· Interaction mechanics. While holding the shulker in your hand in the hotbar, you need to right-click on the ground or any other block to open the container’s contents. It is not actually placed on the ground — it stays in your inventory;

· Viewing resource list. If you just want to know what resources or blocks are inside, hover your cursor over the shulker, and the system will show the full list in a column. A convenient system that allows you to get information faster;

· Time saving. In the vanilla version, the whole process took at least 10 seconds since you had to place the item, check the contents, break the shulker, and put it back in the inventory. Here, the process takes just a couple of seconds;

· Fewer risks. If a mob comes up behind you or a player with a sword runs toward you, you can quickly switch to an active slot in your inventory (a weapon) and start attacking or running away. In the regular mode, you had to leave the shulker or finish breaking it before putting it away;

· Old system preserved. If you want to place the shulker on the ground to view the contents, hold Shift while placing it. In this case, the old Minecraft mechanic will work;

· Available for servers. The Advanced Shulkerboxes modification can be installed not only on the client but also on the server, so every player can interact with shulkers in this mode by default;

· Configuration file. The developer added a separate file where you can adjust some parameters.

The functionality of this mod is minimal but extremely important for vanilla survival. Players often have to interact with shulkers, so every second counts — the time spent opening inventory, transferring resources, or dropping the container. Use all the possibilities of this mod and forget about the problems from the vanilla version. Now you have several options for viewing the contents without placing the container on the ground. A simple system, minimal impact on your PC after installation, correct operation in all game versions, and timely updates from the developer.

This is not the only mod that offers a similar mechanic, but this one combines several important options for shulkers that players will find useful.
