It is a small mod that adds new fruits to Minecraft. Besides the vanilla oak, which drops apples, other vanilla trees will also drop various fruits. Thus, you will be able to get a pear from birch foliage, oranges from spruce, and a banana from jungle trees.

All the new fruits are edible, and their saturation and regeneration values are similar to those of the apple. Besides, if you wish, you will be able to turn them into golden according to a recipe similar to that of the golden apple.

As a matter of fact, these fruits are similar to the apple in almost all respects, except for the texture and name, and, at first glance, are rather decorative. Even so, they still have something that the apple does not have. When you eat the golden version of any new fruit, a short-term effect is imposed on you, which may save your life. Thus, the golden pear gives the Fire Resistance effect for three seconds, and the golden grape imposes Strength II for the same three seconds. The mod thus neither turns food into something imbalanced nor leaves the new fruits completely useless so that the player has at least some reason to collect them.

Besides the main method of obtaining fruits from the trees themselves, you will also be able to find them in chests in various structures or buy them from villagers and wandering traders.
