Smooth Realistic is a very interesting resource pack that will bring the game world closer to reality. It features quite a high 128x resolution, so you should not worry about the detail level of this pack. Almost any aspect of the game world has been affected by the changes, including blocks, objects, the environment, and much more. The resource pack cannot but appeal to you: you will not find its textures in other packs, as the designer relied only on his imagination. The game world now looks very bright and beautiful, which cannot but please users. You can install Smooth Realistic on the 1.12.2 game version. But you can also try to install it on any other version of the game. Even though the designer does not guarantee its compatibility with other game versions, that's still worth trying.

After the main menu opens, you will immediately notice some changes. The first one is related to the background. It now depicts a fragment of the game world, which looks quite bright and features the textures from this resource pack. It thus suggests what you can expect to see in the game. The game title has also changed, acquiring a different color, and now looks steel. The name of this resource pack, along with its resolution, has appeared at the bottom. The menu buttons have acquired a pleasant bright blue hue. When you hover over a certain button, it will be highlighted in gray for clarity.

After spawning in the game world, you can notice that it has become very bright, especially during the day. The sky has changed, and, of course, for the better. It now does not look so empty because clouds have appeared on it. They are numerous, especially on the horizon. These clouds are of various shapes. That is, they are not as square as the ones formerly present at the bottom of the blue sky. Besides, they are of different colors: some look quite light, while others are dark as if they are rain clouds. The sun has also changed in the sky. It has acquired a round shape — this is perhaps the most important and necessary change in it, without which it did not seem realistic. The sun is now very small and sometimes not visible behind the clouds. Even so, it is very bright. Besides, another celestial body can be seen near the sun, which is slightly smaller in size and constantly moving around it.

The night sky has also undergone numerous changes. Firstly, the stars have changed, becoming much more diverse in the sky. They are arranged in different orders, and you can notice a whole cluster in one place. Besides, these stars have different sizes and colors. Some are light blue, while others are red. The night sky looks very bright, and you can see numerous glows on it. The moon has also changed, acquiring a round shape. It has a very large size and is now much larger than the sun, which is quite odd. But in general, the moon has a very beautiful and realistic color.

The grass block has acquired a rich color and, in general, has become a bit darker. Its upper layer has changed: instead of the square particles, you can notice quite realistic blades of grass of different shapes there. Having looked at the side of the grass block, you can see that the grass layer has increased and now occupies most of the surface. The dirt occupies only a small part, and it has also changed. It has become darker, and its detail level has increased. Besides the dirt, other particles can be seen in the block's composition, such as small stones. The grass itself has a similar color as the block but looks a little darker. Its blades are very thin and numerous. They are now not as straight as before. The tall grass has also changed and acquired a similar color. It now looks like some kind of tree, as no blades of grass are visible in it at all.

The stone has become very light, which is especially noticeable from a distance. So having taken a look at the mountains, you can notice that now they have become very light. After carefully examining a stone block, you can see that it consists of various cracks, but they are not numerous. The cobblestone has also become light, and the stones within it are now white. It has a basically similar structure to the stone, but there are much more cracks in it. The ores have also changed, acquiring the updated stone texture in their composition. The precious particles in the ores now look different, and each ore has a unique design.

The precious blocks have also undergone changes. They have a basically similar structure, but their color differs. All of them feature small but well-noticeable frames. Only the iron block lacks these frames. The coloring of the precious blocks has changed, and they have acquired a very bright and pleasant color.

The precious items have also been affected by the changes. The diamond now has the shape of a brilliant, becoming bright and sparkling. So this item looks more expensive. The redstone dust has become very beautiful: now it consists of numerous sparkling crystals. The shapes of the iron and gold ingots have changed. They have become elongated and more voluminous. Lapis lazuli now has the shape of a gemstone of a transparent sparkling purple shade. The emerald has the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners. It has also become bright and sparkling.

The textures of all items have changed. Having looked at some of them, you can see that the color of the apple has become more realistic, and one petal has appeared in it. The leather now looks like rabbit skin but much bigger. It is white with numerous black spots. The dyes now look like a small pile of dust of a certain color. The stick has become more voluminous and larger and now looks more like bamboo. The string looks like a white ball.

Another picture features a well-detailed ore. In general, all the images are very beautiful and elaborate.

The sand has become darker, so the deserts look a little dim. But in general, this is not particularly noticeable. The sand has become smooth and without the familiar square particles. It consists of interchanging light and dark layers. The sand block has become beautiful, realistic, and virtually flawless. The cactus has become lighter, and its spines are now better pronounced. They are now numerous and presuppose a small circle to which they are attached. They are light, not black as before. Having taken a look at the upper part of a cactus block, you can notice a beautiful pink flower there, which occupies most of the surface. This flower can be seen on each block, regardless of its height. The water has become very bright and transparent. Its upper layer features voluminous waves. You can also notice the animation of their movement.

The textures of all the flowers have changed and now look very bright and realistic. Poppy, dandelion, allium, and chamomile have an identical structure, consisting of a single dark green stem. It has a very lush flower of a certain color. The allium has become very beautiful; its inflorescence is still round but is now blue with a light middle. The cornflower has several stems and very beautiful inflorescences. The latter are multi-colored: they are orange in the middle and white at the edges. The tulips have a basically identical structure. They consist of a single stalk, from which several flowers of different sizes depart. The tall flowers have also changed. The rose bush has become very low. These flowers have become very beautiful and lush, especially roses.

The trees have also acquired new textures. The foliage of the oak and birch have a basically identical structure. On it, you can notice quite beautiful, realistic, and numerous leaves. The foliage block is now not transparent as before. The birch foliage is of some light purple color, which is quite odd. On the coniferous trees, you can notice beautiful twigs with needles. The wood of the trees has also changed, but not so significantly — it has just become lighter.

The glass has become more transparent thanks to the fact that it now lacks the familiar distortions that have prevented light from passing through. Very thin black frames have appeared on the edges of the glass block. But when it is connected to an adjacent glass, the inner frame disappears, making the glass borderless. The tainted glass has undergone similar changes, but its frames are painted in the glass' color.

The basic blocks, such as the chest, crafting table, and furnace, have also changed, becoming modern. The chest is now a kind of cabinet painted in dark gray and with a handle. The crafting table has also acquired the shape of a cabinet of a similar dark gray color. Its surface is white, and you can see a piece of paper, a pencil, and other objects on it. The furnace has become modern and beautiful — you will see no cobblestone in it.
