Any crops in Minecraft are in demand by players, as they are the main source of food, especially in large settlements or at the initial stages of the game, when bread, prepared meals, and potatoes are regularly required for you to be able to periodically go to mines, move between the dimensions, and fight mobs. However, the standard graphics of Minecraft cannot please us with a high-quality visual picture, even though it can boast quite nice farm fields. Indeed, we have already uploaded such maps as Midland, Better Villager, and other options featuring vast sown fields.

A texture pack called Better Wheat will fix this situation and completely change the appearance of wheat in Minecraft at all its growth stages. It will become taller, thicker, and more golden without any shaders or other add-ons adding extra effects — although, with them, the entire in-game picture will change beyond recognition. Review of the Better Wheat Texture Pack

During the existence of the Better Wheat texture pack, many different versions thereof have been released, in which the designer refined his development, took into account the wishes of users, and tested some innovations. Even though it was last updated for version 1.15.1 of Minecraft, it works fine on 1.19.3 as well. In the standard game version, you will never see such a style and design, although the wheat was added a long time ago, and the developers have enough time to rework this crop.

Indeed, by default, this plant species is low, greenish, and totally unremarkable, so small plantations look sparse and poor. The picture usually changes only when a beautiful village with several large sown fields against its background is located on a map. But if you use the new mod, along with shaders adding numerous effects, the look will become completely different, won't it?

So we installed the Better Wheat texture pack and added Sildur's Vibrant Shaders to show how the overall Minecraft's graphics will change with these two add-ons. Just look at how vivid and bright the visual picture has become! The wheat has transformed, every of its blade of grass has begun to shine, and golden gleams and density have appeared. So we have several minor but very pleasant improvements. Moreover, you can configure any shader as you see fit, taking into account the capabilities of your PC, the number of mods you have installed, and other factors.

As you can see, the Better Wheat texture pack makes all the wheat elements elaborate and adds more contrast and gradients to it. So ripe wheat to harvest does not look greenish anymore but truly golden, as in real life. So this pack gives each player the opportunity to transform the visual picture and add new colors without significantly changing the overall graphics. So for those who have previously used shaders in Minecraft, that will be merely a cosmetic change, but if you have never used shader packs or do not want to load your PC, it will be enough to install only Better Wheat.

We have taken screenshots both using various shader effects and without them. And it is solely up to you which combination to use. The wheat and its appearance will be changed in a couple of clicks anyway, and this is a highly important point for farmers. The texture pack works fine with all the game versions, despite not being updated for long. Besides, it can run correctly together with other textures, so if you already use some packs, you can be sure that they will not conflict.
