Glowing Ores (Vanilla, Mythic Metals, Better EndNether & more!): Find Ores With Comfort!

Playing Minecraft implies frequent visits to mines in search of diverse ores. When that happens for the first time, there is nothing more pleasant than to come across deposits of redstone or diamonds. But over time, this activity becomes a chore. Moreover, thanks to the new update, the caves have expanded enormously, and the probability of missing, say, diamonds on the ceiling has become much higher. That can become quite annoying, especially when you cross the same area more than once and suddenly discover such a find. A resource pack called Glowing Ores (Vanilla, Mythic Metals, Better EndNether & more!) will help you cope with these inconveniences.

Even though the mod is small, it greatly facilitates finding the desired ores. Its salient feature is that it supports even user add-ons! In particular, this review will show you how this resource pack works with the Better End mod, and the result will certainly surprise you.

Let us now turn to the visual effects themselves.

Vanilla Ores

These are basic in-game ores. As you can see, each has acquired a unique color that will allow you to discern it. A slight drawback is the deepslate emerald ore, which does not glow in the dark. We hope that the designer will fix it.

You should keep in mind, though, that only metal and precious ores have acquired such a glow. Coal is not affected by the mod! It is nice to see that even the Nether resources have also undergone changes. This mod will be very helpful for finding diamonds, even given that their number on the walls was reduced in the recent update.

Amethyst

For greater effect, the crystal itself, along with the place where it grows, is now also highlighted. It will now be several times easier to find an open geode with this resource, not to mention that such a feature will be useful in the decorative design.

Compatibility With Other Mods

For our review, we used the Better End mod, which adds some ores. The designer claims that the mod supports other most popular add-ons for the game, such as the well-known Create.
As you can see in the screenshot below, everything works fine and does not cause issues.

To complete the picture, we have added some examples of the naturally generated terrain of the End, where it is not as dark as in caves. Even though the effect is not so noticeable there, if you dig deeper, its utility will become immediately clear.

So we can say that the mod under consideration is a good option for a comfortable game. It does not affect the gameplay in any way but just reduces the time needed to find a particular ore, including custom ones. The glow effect works perfectly everywhere and does not cause irritation or visual bugs, which is very important. Of course, it would be better that it worked without extra add-ons such as Sodium. Although on the other hand, who is playing without it nowadays? The resource pack supports Minecraft 1.20.1. It is also compatible with the older versions, but there may be serious issues.
