Wolfhound Dungeon is a wonderful resource pack in the Wolfhound setting that will make the game world dark. The textures are of a rather frightening style, so be careful when playing with this resource pack. All the in-game blocks, items, and other elements will be affected by the changes. The designer has created it in an improved resolution, so the detail level of everything will be high. You will not find such textures in other resource packs, as the modder has relied only on himself and his imagination and not taken other textures as the basis, which is one of the advantages of the add-on. The Wolfhound Dungeon resource pack can be installed on game versions beginning from 1.8 and ending with 1.14.4. You can also try to install it on another version, but its proper work is not guaranteed. So, it's better to launch it on a recommended version of the game.

The first dark change that users can notice is related to the main menu. The background image and some other elements have changed there. In the background, we can notice the familiar in-game landscape, but its textures are taken from this resource pack. Thanks to this, one can guess what awaits one in the game world. The menu buttons have also changed. They have acquired dark brown frames, but inside, they are light. When you hover over a certain button, it will be highlighted by a light blue shade.

After having respawned in the game world for the first time, you can immediately notice changes in its color scheme. The grass block has become dark, and its texture now looks different. You will not see the familiar unattractive square particles in it anymore. Beautiful blades of grass can be distinguished on its upper layer. Having taken a look at the side of the grass block, you can see that the grass layer has slightly increased and is now not so evenly situated. The dirt has also changed, becoming smooth and, of course, dark. The grass now looks like a bush of thorns. It has curly blades of grass on which thorns are visible. The tall grass has exactly the same structure and differs only in size.

The stone has become very dark. It is completely covered in black, and beautiful smooth smaller dark brown stones are glued on it. The cobblestone has exactly the same texture. However, it does not consist of stones but of beautiful and even-shaped bricks. The ores have also undergone changes, acquiring the respective texture of the updated stone in their composition. The precious particles in them now look different. Each ore has a unique appearance, which makes them more diverse. Not only the shape of the precious particles has changed, but also their color. Thus, precious particles in the composition of the diamond ore are colored light red.

The precious blocks have also been affected by the changes. That is, the diamond, gold, and other blocks now look unusual and very attractive. On the sides of the diamond block, one can see the head of an animal which eyes are of diamond color. The upper part of this block has more particles. The golden block has acquired nice-looking frames along the edges with a beautiful flower inside in the shape of a rose painted in an appropriate golden shade. The iron block has become dark, and some handcuffs can now be seen on its sides. Each side features extra particles. The emerald block is colored dark green with a yellow tint. Each side can boast very beautiful patterns made of iron rods. Lapis lazuli has a very unusual appearance. It looks like some kind of reservoir with a pipe on each of its sides. Redstone has also acquired an uncommon texture, which is very beautiful and attractive.

The precious items now also look uncommon and beautiful. The diamond looks like three small stones of a light shade. The emerald now resembles a tree leaf, including in terms of color. The iron ingot looks like some kind of staff with a knee tip. The gold ingot has the same texture as an emerald, but it differs in color. Lapis lazuli is now a flask filled with a blue liquid. Redstone has also acquired the shape of a flask, but there are three of them at once.

The paintings now have different images and feature drawings by various artists. In small one-block paintings, you can see a bloody drawing and shelves with potions. The two-block paintings depict various inscriptions in blood. The large paintings feature some portraits. For example, one of them depicts a girl who seized the throne.

Armor and weapons will now be medieval. The diamond armor will change beyond recognition. The particles and color of the diamond are no longer present on it at all. It now resembles some hunter's outfit. The diamond helmet will make your hair longer. The golden armor will acquire a dark color, a red cloak, and some kind of black crown instead of the helmet.

The inventory GUI will dramatically change, becoming more handmade and as if drawn. Its borders are, as it were, made of wood, which gives it a medieval flavor. The health bar will change. It will consist of water drops, and it will be difficult to get used to such an update. As for the hunger bar, it will consist of water flasks. The armor indicator has also changed, becoming round in shape.

The sand has become a bit darker and acquired a smooth texture. You can notice wavy lines in it as if sand spreads like this. The cactus now has a lighter color, but yellow elements have been added to it. Its spines have become more pronounced and of a light color. Having looked at the surface of the cactus, you can notice a small but very beautiful red flower there. It can be seen on every cactus block, regardless of its height. The water color will change beyond recognition. Indeed, the water will become of a dark gray color, as if oil was spilled into it. Its upper layer will consist of particles, and you will see bubbles when getting immersed in water. As for the basic layer, it has remained intact — its water is blue, and the fish swim there as usual.

The friendly mobs have also been affected by dark changes. The white color of the sheep's wool will be slightly darker, and its skin will become all black. The shape of its face will change completely. In contrast, the cow will become a lighter creature because it is now white with dark spots. You can also notice small light horns on its head. The white chicken will become a gray creature with the same red beak. As for the pig, which was earlier pink, it will become completely dark. It will retain a pink stripe only in the middle as if recalling us of the familiar pig.

The hostile mobs have also acquired new textures. The creeper will look consisting of tree leaves and, in some places, have blood spots. He will have a discontented face that absorbs the darkness. The spider will remain dark, but there will be a red mark on its back, and its eyes will be of a bright red color. The skeleton will now look impressive. It will be wrapped in a dark cloak and wear a red bandage. You will also be able to notice the fangs on its face. The zombie now looks like a white man with red eyes. It will have long hair and a beard.
