Who do you miss in Minecraft from marine life? There are dolphins and turtles. Even axolotls have recently appeared. We have repeatedly told you about different modifications that add new types of mobs to the game. However, running mods is still unavailable on certain versions. Besides, some players prefer to play on a server where you cannot use the add-on you want.
So, we offer you to turn pufferfish, which are quite unpopular among users, into jellyfish. And you don’t need to download any modifications to do that. You should only download the Jellyfish texture pack, rename the pufferfish with a tag, and get real jellyfish at your disposal. In this review, we will show you what they look like, how they differ from each other, and whether it is worth downloading this pack or not.
To make the texture pack work correctly, the developer recommends installing OptiFine, which expands the abilities of the Minecraft Launcher, offers a large set of options for optimizing the game, and allows you to use different types of shaders.
Also, enable the following options in the game settings:
· Custom entity models;
· Emissive textures;
· Random objects.
Set these options to Enabled.
The main purpose of this texture pack is to replace the standard models of pufferfish with jellyfish by using tags. In other words, the pack makes the pufferfish look like jellyfish. You can only do this if you install the texture pack and enable the parameters described above. However, all the loot will be completely identical to the pufferfish.
Take a tag and go to the anvil to change the name. Please note that you will need 1 level of experience if you play in survival mode. If you’re doing this through your administrator, then it doesn’t matter how much experience you have. Next, the procedure is as follows:
· Right-click on the anvil and place a tag in the cell;
· Specify one of the names listed below, for example, Blue Jellyfish;
· Approach the pufferfish and put a tag on it.
Once you do that, it will turn into a jellyfish of a particular color. There are 10 color options available. To get them, you will have to add one of the following tag names:
· Red Jellyfish
· Orange Jellyfish
· Yellow Jellyfish
· Green Jellyfish
· Mint Jellyfish
· Blue Jellyfish
· Dark Blue Jellyfish
· Purple Jellyfish
· Hot Pink Jellyfish
· Pink Jellyfish.
All the names are indicated in English so that you can roughly understand what color certain types of jellyfish will be after you apply the tags. These are all the features provided in this texture pack. So, if you are interested in adding jellyfish to your world, be sure to download this pack and try it in your game.
The idea of the Jellyfish texture pack is rather interesting, as well as its implementation. As for the appearance of jellyfish, the developer has redesigned all the details and added many different colors, which means that you will get new underwater creatures, and you can even «pet» them. Jellyfish mobs can be bred, carried with buckets, and sold to other players if you use a server project.
So, you’ve got plenty of options, and it’s up to you to decide what to do with your jellyfish. But keep in mind that the updated appearance of the jellyfish will only be available to those users who have also installed this texture pack. If you want all server players to see your upgrades, it is best to use other modifications.
