Fresh Textures × Fresh Animations is a good add-on that is compatible with the resource packs mentioned in the title (Fresh Textures and Fresh Animations). For it to work correctly, be sure to place it above the other two. So what does it do? It improves the overall quality of the textures added by the resource packs. You could say that it is a connecting link. It is not required to use it, but with it the gameplay experience will be better. Mods can also be used for it to work, but this is optional. Resource packs can work on their own as well.

Actual additions

It is difficult to talk about specific changes, since Fresh Textures × Fresh Animations adds a little bit of everything. And this applies not only to mobs, which the same “Fresh Animations” is focused on. Text and font styling were also affected. With OptiFine installed, the textures also gained “transitions”, which makes them smoother and more cohesive.
