Depth of field

One of the most important movie effects is depth of field, which allows you to blur everything outside the focus point. For example, you are focused on a tree or characters in front of you. If you look at the object, everything behind it will be blurred. This effect can be achieved by using shaders, since there is no standard option for such purposes in Minecraft.

But at the same time, you should understand that the depth of field is a pretty demanding effect in terms of performance, and if your PC is weak, you’d better disable such options. Fortunately, there are plenty of settings in the shader, so that each user can choose the most suitable parameters.

Better weather conditions

There are a few weather options in Minecraft: clear, rain, storm with thunderstorm, but standard means don’t allow to play with the weather conditions as in real life. Large and voluminous clouds will hide the sun, so sunbeams won’t actually hit you, and the earth will literally plunge into slight darkness. But this effect is roughly similar to how the darkening happens in real life, so you will surely like it.

There are no ready-made configurations in this shader, so you can use the default settings. If you want to customize the package for your PC, you will have to spend a little time to choose the best option. By the way, the shader supports PBR technology (three-dimensional textures), so you can turn most texture packs into colorful and three-dimensional models if the developer has provided such opportunity.

To summarize, we can say that Beyond Belief Shaders is a real godsend for players, since such functions allow you to turn the game into a full-fledged AAA-level project, to completely forget about cubes and sandbox. Now it’s not just a simulator, but a cool and colorful game where you can enjoy the surrounding world, create high-quality videos, take screenshots, invite friends, and play with the same shader to watch similar effects.

Keep in mind that the mod is quite demanding on your PC, so it can output about 40-70 FPS on the i7 4770K processor. If you don’t like this option, you can disable most of the effects that load the computer: shadows, blurring, some of the lighting options, and many other features. To achieve good quality and suitable optimization, some parameters can be made lower, otherwise you won’t be able to play comfortably.
