However, it looks very small, although this is not particularly important.

Nighttime

The game world is quite dark at night, even if you set the maximum brightness level in the default settings. There are many more stars in the sky now. They are all very small and of different colors. The clouds are noticeable even in the night sky, as they are distinguishable on the dark background. The moon has also been affected by the changes. It has also acquired a round shape but is now very small. It has become virtually imperceptible, just a small dot. After climbing some mountain, you may notice that it is well illuminated by the moon. In short, the lighting at night is now perfect, as the modder has thought everything out in detail.

Lighting

We have found out that there are no problems with shadows and sky here, but let us turn to other important aspects. After placing light blocks during the day, you will not notice any changes. Although some shader packs allow one to ensure lighting even in the daytime, say, in the shade, this mod doesn't. Perhaps this is not particularly important, so let us proceed to another topic, namely what artificial lighting looks like at night. As we have already noted, the lighting at night here is flawless, but the modder has also refined the lighting blocks making them even more interesting. They will now be even brighter, but this will basically not affect their range. Even the soul lantern, which practically did not emit light, will be very bright. It will no longer shine with the blue color but will just become very bright.

Like many other shader packs, the mod features the swaying vegetation effect. It cannot be considered a particular advantage, as it is included in almost every single shader pack. In this mod, such an effect cannot boast some advanced properties — it is quite standard but very useful in terms of ensuring realism.

Water

The modder has done a great job on the water, trying to please every user. The water now looks very realistic. It has become more transparent and light, and there are no redundant particles in it anymore. It has now acquired animated volume waves. We can only praise the modder for this, as the water is practically flawless.

Rain

To understand when it will rain, you can take a look at the clouds. If there are too many of them in the sky, and they are dark, that means that it will rain soon. During the rain, you can see quite pronounced drops that have slightly changed in color. After a short time, you will notice a wet top layer appearing on the blocks. Of course, this looks realistic. This water creates the appearance that the block is very smooth.

Drawbacks of the Shader Pack

Let us now examine the shortcomings of this shader pack — unfortunately, they are in place, and there are enough of them. In some cases, you will notice annoying moving particles. This is all due to the increased brightness. Perhaps reducing it will at least partly fix the situation. Besides, some blocks turn into a mess under the bright sun. This most often happens with white blocks, namely snow and some other. They become bright to the point of indistinguishability.

Changes in the Nether and the End

The Nether has basically remained intact — it has only become slightly darker. In contrast, the lava and glowstones have become brighter. In turn, the End has become very bright. If you look at the sky, you can find the sun, although it was absent there before. Looking at the sun and then at the end stone, you can even go blind because of the increased brightness. Perhaps this is a small flaw.

Final Verdict

In general, the shader pack is quite decent, and if you slightly adjust the settings, you can get nice textures in the game world. Of course, there are some disadvantages, but they are not so critical. It will be enough just to reduce the brightness of the world so that some blocks do not exceedingly glow.
