Fear Nightfall: Experience a True Fear and Horror

Fear Nightfall is a quite large-scale horror build in which your main goal is not to develop and build beautiful houses or bases but simply survive. And it will not be that easy, as the developers have done everything to complicate this process.

The pack adds a huge number of monsters of all colors, shapes, and abilities. And those are not just ordinary zombies that do not scare anyone. You will have to face truly creepy creatures with odd bodies, scary sounds, and spooky textures.

However, you will also be able to take advantage of a large number of useful mods, which will be not only vital but also interesting to explore. In the conditions of constant fear and fear for your life, it will be way more difficult to do that, though.

Shaders and a Texture Pack

The pack comes with shaders, which create the entire game atmosphere. Thanks to them, the virtual world is completely covered in gray colors. It is incredibly dark outside even during the day, and at night, you cannot see anything at all. So you feel like you are in some horror movie.

The environment is covered by a deep fog, which makes it impossible to see almost anything beyond a single block. Even if you place a torch, it will illuminate only a small portion of the world around you.

It goes without saying that in such impenetrable darkness, every rustle or movement will scare you half to death, especially when there is indeed some deadly mob nearby.

Moreover, besides the shaders, the mod includes a texture pack, which also adds to the game's gloomy atmosphere. It changes almost all the in-game elements by making them darker and more frightening.

Storyline

The modpack features a small storyline you can learn through the quest book. After you open it, you will see a task tree, completing which and reading the descriptions, you will gradually understand what is happening in such a spooky world.

You will learn that Herobrine destroyed the Aether and now went to destroy other dimensions, wishing to appear in the Overworld. However, he will do that only when darkness falls. That is a very significant point, as the game world is always pretty safe during the day. Mobs will not spawn, and there is nothing frightening besides the fog. But once the night falls on the virtual world, deadly monsters, from which you will have to fight back, begin to appear everywhere.

Besides the main storyline, there are also bonus quests related to a particular mod.

Monsters

The most significant content brought by the pack is the monsters. Almost every mod here adds unique mobs, which will scare you with their appearance, sounds, and the way they attack you. All of them feature amazing animations. Some climb out of their graves, while others have the most intimidating and unnatural movements.

The build adds so many monsters that it will be not that easy to encounter them all. The main monster here, though, for which the entire pack was created, is Herobrine. He is a character resembling Steve but with empty eyes. If you want to fight him, you can summon it by building a totem. However, that will not imply spawning him.

The fact is that Herobrine appears immediately with the creation of the world and is always behind you. He is watching you and reminding you of himself in every possible way by scaring you. In the dark, you can see a pair of eyes looking at you, which clearly belongs to him.

Horror

Given it is a horror build, you will see a large number of blocks, details, and decorative elements that create a spooky atmosphere. They will scare you to goosebumps even in the Overworld and be very helpful if you want to create a horror map.

The dead, crucified, and bloody characters are just static decorations. However, in the dark and fog, you will hardly be able to distinguish them from the zombies about to pounce on you.

The pack even includes a mod that allows you to craft weapons and armor from human or animal body parts. That looks disgusting and frightening.

Food

The food here perfectly matches the overall style of the pack. The Butcher's Delight mod will provide you with the opportunity to feel like a butcher. Thus, when killing animals, you will not get meat and will have to carve a carcass yourself with a knife and cut off the desired piece.

In turn, beer and other heady drinks will be perfect for meat.
