Beastmaster: A Hunter's Survival in Minecraft

Minecraft allows you to play as any character. That can apply to a simple skin, storyline map, mod, plugin on a server, modpack, etc. And the choice is broad: the Marvel universe, modern cities, all kinds of evil characters, Star Wars, and so on. But this is all too commonplace, so we suggest that you get immersed in the world of a hunter. Yes, you read that right — a hunter! You will have specific goals, background, important tasks, achievements, and much more…

A map called Beastmaster allows everyone to try to take the role of that very hunter who used to have a measured and quiet life when he did not have to care about anything, calmly hunted game, and tried not to get in trouble without reason. But events took an altogether different course...

You have all the knowledge that a hunter needs, and it was enough until today, but now you will need to get a new experience. After downloading the Beastmaster map, you will have to complete various tasks to improve your skills, gain access to new items, and acquire a new type of armor that can boast serious advantages compared to the old sets. Are you ready for such survival? If so, let us proceed.

Map's Features

There are seven different lands on the map, each with a separate branch of achievements. To get different skills and equipment, you will need to gradually complete all the tasks, and if you fail to solve some of them, you can try to do it again. You begin with the simple things, moving constantly to the more difficult ones. As you progress, you get new skills, opportunities, and a large number of additional tasks, and all this implies dangerous challenges.

We have tried to clear up some points related to this map and consider them in more detail. In general, the following features of the map can be distinguished:

Changed mobs. Each creature on this map has salient features worth taking into account if you decide to start hunting. Almost every mob has a particular set of items, some of which are dropped randomly after its death. Their number and type depend on the weapon used by you. All the found items, loot, and other artifacts will certainly be useful to you during the completion of and surviving on the Beastmaster map. However, the storyline may vary depending on the random order of drops.

New crafting features. Most recipes will require a standard 2x2 grid, so you will not have to carry a crafting table with you all the time, which is very convenient. Moreover, the order of items does not play any role here, unlike in the standard version of Minecraft, and that is a big advantage, especially when new types of items appear, and you do not know how to craft them in Minecraft at all.

Hunter skills. By default, the player has unique hunter characteristics: stamina, strength, and sight. Each of them allows you to level up the character and gain advantages, so they will need to be increased over time. You can also unlock other skills, so as soon as you start playing, we recommend reading the books in your inventory. They will tell you about many peculiarities and features of the Beastmaster map, as its designer has tried to thoroughly describe everything for users. Languages other than English are not supported, though.

Crafting of hunter's essences. What do you think, can a hunter have any special abilities? Of course, he can, and on the Beastmaster map, the player will be able to make unique essences that allow the main character to receive additional benefits and effects. Besides these options, there are extra types of bonuses, such as saving your inventory after death, resistance to damage, and many others, but they will only be available to you after completing particular tasks.

Custom territories. The designer has added seven different lands on this map, which differ in terms of biomes and dungeons. They change in appearance, utilize various types of additional textures, and just greatly diversify the standard gameplay of Minecraft. You will have to explore each of them, find all the treasures, and complete different tasks, thus receiving valuable and significant rewards that allow you to level up your character.

According to the designer of Beastmaster, it has several endings, but fans of such locations and maps can complete it 100% if they solve all the tasks and find all the treasures. In fact, many points are thought out, and most of the operations are accomplished automatically with the help of command blocks — all this in a relatively small area.

Once you first spawn on the Beastmaster map, be sure to learn the books available in the character's inventory. They describe many points, and most of the important nuances will be clear even from some brief remarks and pictures. The main thing is to improve your character to unlock important options faster, as, say, the ability to save your inventory after death will help you in many situations, save you time, and just make the gameplay a bit different, unlike in the vanilla version of Minecraft.

This map can boast numerous different locations and NPCs that the player will have to interact with, so if you want to enjoy elaborate gameplay, we recommend that you download Beastmaster. It is quite a balanced option, despite few downloads. The designer has not updated his development for a long time, but the map runs quite well on most versions. In case you fail to launch it on 1.19.3 and other recent versions, try it on 1.16.2, and everything will work fine.

But you should keep in mind that you can get status effects simply by staying in some biomes. That is quite normal on this map, although the player can get additional benefits allowing them not to face such problems if they complete all the quests and tasks.
