Modpacks are one of the most convenient add-ons to the game, as their experienced designers carefully select certain mods for a build to make the game world diverse and sometimes completely different. One of the popular builds for Minecraft is called DawnCraft - An Adventure RPG. It can boast a large number of downloads thanks to its setting and excellent combination of numerous mods. The build was created for version 1.18.2, which is good news, given is popular and relevant to this day.
It goes without saying that you will need quite rich content — otherwise, you will not be able to feel comfortable in the game world. This pack includes 200+ different mods aimed at improving the interactive environment. Thanks to such a build, you will be able to explore new locations, enjoy a whole new game world, fight mighty bosses, and take advantage of the new types of weapons, armor, and resources. So let us proceed to a detailed examination of this pack so that you can understand what awaits you ahead. Besides, we are going to tell you about some mods that play an important role in this build for Minecraft.
After you launch the game, you see the loading screen, which in vanilla Minecraft was simple and consisted of the dirt texture. The designers of this modpack have decided to change that, and now you can see some in-game screenshots on it. Perhaps you will even be able to find those places, as they represent actual in-game content. The loading screen usually depicts spectacular landscapes of the game world, new locations, new mobs, and much more.
Moreover, the image will change every time you launch the client. This is a small but nice feature, which you can enjoy when the game loads. After that, you will see the main menu, which has also been changed here and now depicts the updated game world. The image is accompanied by very pleasant music. Let us now turn to the examination of the game world to learn about this build as much as possible.
Having spawned in the world for the first time, you can find that its biomes and color scheme have become completely different. The game environment now looks even brighter and greener, becoming a nice place for exploration. Besides the standard biomes, you can visit wholly new ones fraught with many interesting features. To make your travels more enjoyable, the name of a biome will be displayed on the screen when you cross the boundaries between them. That is very convenient, especially for beginners who do not really know the in-game biomes. However, you will see the names of the new biomes as well. The main mod responsible for them in this build is called Biome Makeover. Besides, while traveling, the player will enjoy pleasant sounds, including new music, birdsong, crows cawing, etc.
Apart from the updated world with new biomes, the player will be able to discover a large number of new structures and dungeons, which will be very different from each other. Many of them pose a danger to the player since they are guarded by the new creatures or vanilla mobs. Let us examine some of the structures that await you in the game world. The first dungeon is the ruined goblin keep. It is a small structure in the form of a ruined building made of black bricks. The latter are added by the Goblins & Dungeons mod, along with the structure itself, creatures, and other blocks.
The goblins are very angry and not happy about the appearance of the player, so they will defend their keep in every possible way. You should be very careful, as, besides the goblins that will run at you, there will also be quite dangerous ones that will shoot arrows. Moreover, you will also have to face a more dangerous goblin, which will be larger and purple. If you managed to kill all the goblins, consider that the keep is yours, so you can clean out all the chests in this location. They can contain both vanilla items and stuff from various mods, which will certainly come in handy in the future.
It is another small dungeon consisting of one small house. Despite its size, it is very eye-pleasing. It is inhabited by a lone knight that does not pose any particular danger to the player. In fact, it is a neutral mob and will attack you only if you hit it first. The house itself has a small living area and is practically empty. There is a chest inside, but it is almost always empty. All this means that you can defeat this knight and settle in this house, using it as a temporary shelter.
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this build is that it adds various tribes that can be found in the game world. One of them is called Barakoa. They live in small houses in warm biomes, as their roofs are covered with leaves. Some of them contain chests with valuable loot. As for Barakoas, they are small-sized mobs that will mainly focus on the protection of their settlements. You will hear their conversations in a completely obscure language, which will be very funny.
You will find a lot of skulls in their villages, which perhaps indicate that this tribe is very dangerous. When the settlers notice you, the in-game sounds will change dramatically. They will be characteristic and quite encouranging, as if you have entered into battle. They make it clear that Barakoas treat the player very unfriendly, and you will have to fight. That is not the most significant feature of such settlements, though. Barakoas' attacks are quite uncommon: a large number of them rush upon you, and if someone manages to hit you, it immediately runs away to allow another tribesman to do that.
However mighty Barakoas are, they cannot do much without a chief. It sits on the throne and will not move at all if you attack its tribesmen. During the silence, the chief will only sit and knock on the drum. Moreover, even if you enter into a battle with it, it will not get up from its throne. It has several types of attacks that can inflict quite a lot of damage to the player as well as repulse them as far as possible. Besides, it can summon small Barakoas to protect itself from your blows.
It will order them to attack you by gestures. It will not be that difficult to defeat it if you have good armor and weapons. However, if you retreat and decide to come back again, you will be disappointed. The fact is that the chief will restore its health, and you will have to fight it again. So it is better to kill all Barakoas, as it is they that heal it using the power of the sun. If you manage to kill it, you will get its head, which has some features. Thus, you will also be able to summon a Baracoa that will protect you. Besides, in some cases, Barakoas drop the masks, and you can also put them on to get some advantages in terms of speed, etc.
We have examined just a few structures, as the pack adds a huge number of them. They will make your travels more interesting because you will be able to explore new locations, fight with new mobs, and get rare resources that will be useful for your subsequent development.
This build greatly diversifies the in-game fauna. The new mobs include both ordinary creatures, namely wild animals, and fictional ones, among which there will be very dangerous species. Thus, you will see elephants, deer, gazelles, and many other animals. Besides, the textures of the vanilla mobs, such as cows, will be diversified. The cows will now be white, brown, black, etc. All these ordinary animals mainly come from a mod called Alex's Mobs.
Almost all of them are friendly and so will not attack the player even if they attacked them first. However, besides them, there will be other creatures that pose a danger to you. We have already considered some of them, but there are also others. One of them is the nameless king. It is a highly dangerous boss that kills all mobs in its path. It has many types of attacks and abilities that it applies constantly. Its sword is extremely unusual, as it allows it even to fly. Besides, it summons a large number of lightning bolts around it and raises waves in the water. There are also other bosses, but you should encounter them yourself in the Minecraft game world.
