Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG [Dragonfyre] is a gigantic Minecraft modpack aimed at thrilling and dangerous adventures. At the center of all events is the main hero — the player. This modpack logically continues the line of its predecessor, adopting the best aspects and introducing something of its own. You will find yourself in a medieval fantasy world filled with tough challenges, puzzles, and loot worthy of the best of the best. Your journey will begin from the very bottom without a single coin and end with epic battles against the strongest creatures in this world. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and start with the basics.

The first large-scale innovation that the player will encounter right after creating the world is the character window. This is not just a cosmetic addition or a backstory, but a full-fledged editor with its own classes, races, features, and consequences. Your starting choices affect your spawn location, the places you will encounter, abilities, development tree, and even world interactions. It’s a truly important section that you can approach strategically for efficiency — or simply choose what you like the most.

Each choice has a predefined difficulty level that indicates the desired player skill. The more circles filled in (there are 3 in total), the harder the playthrough will be. For example, when trying various starts, we selected the origin of the Blazeborn. Literally translated as "born in fire." So we began our journey literally in the Nether. Therefore, we recommend carefully reading what you choose and roughly imagining what conditions and consequences your decision may bring.

In total, you can choose from three categories: race, blessing, and profession. We’ve already discussed what the first choice affects, but what about the others? A blessing affects the playstyle and special bonus the player will receive for the entire playthrough as a permanent effect. Their effects are described in detail, so you can even try to create the foundation of your class if you already have a plan. Among the buffs are increased attack damage, real wings for mobility, elemental damage to basic attacks, additional crit chance for greater lethality, high survivability, and more. These blessings also have their own "full awakening" conditions. For example, to enhance the wings of Zephyrus, you’ll need to slay the Ender Dragon.

The profession, on the other hand, affects useful perks that can make everyday survival easier. Among these professions are farmer, blacksmith, miner, lumberjack, cook, warrior, explorer, and others. As a reward for your choice, you’ll receive specific passive abilities. While blessings are mostly aimed at combat, professions (for the most part) focus on peaceful tasks — like mining or farming. It’s also the only category without a difficulty level. These abilities are passive, always active, and apply in many in-game situations, so pick what you enjoy the most.

The modpack is truly vast and very deep, so for familiarization the author has left you a whole stack of books containing key information about the world, its structure, local flora and fauna, and player progression. Yes, the world is open, and you can do whatever you like, but the player still has a central storyline that leads them along a certain chain of events, partially based on the chosen background. Let’s especially note the starting quests. They’re generally the same for everyone, helping you learn the basics and obtain your first useful items and experience. They clearly describe what you need to do and/or prepare, so you shouldn’t have any trouble completing them. This mini questline ensures a comfortable start, so don’t skip it.

The next topic we’d like to cover is enemies. This world is inhabited by numerous monsters of varying danger levels. These can be hellish creatures, buried corpses, mythical beings, or monsters forged from magic. Each of them has a unique appearance and even behavior. You’ll often have to adapt not only to bosses and their tactics but even to regular monsters. There are fast creatures you can’t outrun, flying ones that are almost immune to melee weapons, and even enemies nearly invulnerable to physical or magical damage — which can cause serious problems. Some foes your build will destroy without much effort, but others will make your life much harder. It all depends on how you build your hero and deal with the world’s aggressive environment.

But that’s not all. You see, as you progress, monsters won’t stay idle either. Progression here is tied to levels and the abilities behind them. However, your enemies also have their own levels, which gradually grant them more stats, making battles against them harder. It’s important to understand this, as yesterday’s common zombies that you used to wipe out easily may today become tougher and more persistent. The world here evolves alongside you — though not necessarily at the same pace. This means you’ll constantly be racing against time to avoid reaching a point where even the simplest enemies won’t let you breathe.

Aggressive mobs are important, of course, but equally important are the locations they inhabit. Here Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG [Dragonfyre] also has no issues. Along your journey, you can encounter ruined villages, occupied bastions, tower ruins, dark catacombs, sunken ships, monster lairs, and undead obelisks. Their content is quite diverse, though structurally they share many similarities. A basic dungeon usually consists of the following:

· Main entrance. The primary point from which the player can enter the location. It’s usually guarded by several minions and lures you inside. Though it’s the main entrance, it’s not the only one — players can create their own way in by breaking through stone or building stairs to higher tower floors.
· Rooms and corridors. A network of passages and sections with rewards and traps. Much of this is highly individual and depends on the dungeon’s length and theme. Still, this is where most enemies, spawners, and endurance battles are concentrated. Players must explore cave sections, gradually clearing them out.
· Boss. The final room usually contains the local boss. It may not be a simple room but one specifically designed for that enemy. You might encounter tall ceilings for flying foes or narrow corridors for stabbing attackers. You’ll hardly be able to modify these areas, as bosses rarely leave their chambers and will stop you if you try to destroy or build anything inside.

Remember the classes and starting bonuses you could choose at the beginning? Hopefully yes — because next comes the player progression system that can be unlocked as you play. It’s a system of passive and active skills that can gradually be improved with skill points. These are earned for leveling up and are spent here. You can open this menu by pressing the English key "O" (Russian "Щ"). Later, these points can also be bought or reset, but those are advanced mechanics. For now, we’re talking about the basics you need to know for comfortable gameplay.

You may notice several interesting icons in this window. Most are ordinary, but some are framed in purple, gold, or even orange. This is a rarity scale, and the most powerful (class-defining) upgrades are located at the far edges of progression — very hard to reach. However, there are also "portals" (round stone gateways) that let players unlock specific upgrade sectors and take particular boosts without unlocking the full chain from the center. This helps save many points and allows you to mix and match various classes (or individual perks).

You can find literally everything here: increased health, higher damage, faster attack speed, crit chances, enhanced regeneration — and that’s just the basics. There are also more specific upgrades like extra elemental damage when equipping magical amulets or improved armor and weapon efficiency for self-crafted gear. The unique classes located at the corners completely change your playstyle, sometimes flipping it 180 degrees. You can gain more stats when low on health, explore more easily, or earn extra experience from all activities. There are both combat and peaceful paths available, each equally valuable.

The greatest interest for players lies in creating their own character with distinct paths and strengths. You can build a versatile all-rounder or focus on one or two branches to become a true master of your craft. There’s no single ultimate build, so planning and testing your own setup in action will be an extremely engaging experience.

Which mods provide Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG [Dragonfyre] with such depth? Let’s take a look at a few:
· Alex’s Mobs. The main mod adding most of the wildlife to the world. It features both hostile and neutral species that bring life to the environment (though not always peacefully).
· Vinery. A mod allowing you to start your own winemaking business, create drinks, and store them in special places. There are many professions like this, but this one is the most developed.
· MC Story Mod Armors. As the name suggests, it focuses on armor. You’ll often encounter its items, constantly updating your battle gear.
· Relics. Adds various amulets, pendants, and rings that go into secondary equipment slots. They have extra effects and are part of complete gear builds.

This is a massive and deep modpack offering players not just a series of challenges but full-fledged progression and a variety of activities to enjoy between battles. Many well-made mods are closely intertwined, allowing Cisco's Fantasy Medieval RPG [Dragonfyre] to deliver an unforgettable experience. Yes, the modpack has a huge learning curve, and you’ll need time to understand it properly. But once you overcome that barrier, you’ll fully immerse yourself in exploring this rich and detailed world. Thank you for your attention!
