Better Adventures+ is a large modpack that greatly affects the gameplay experience compared to classic Minecraft. It is aimed at a global reworking and re-equipping of every gameplay aspect to give more realism and encourage exploration and study of the new world. The many added mods work well together, and because of this, every aspect feels many times stronger. Here, the player, as in regular Minecraft, will explore the world, trade with villagers, defeat bosses, and clear dungeons. Only thanks to the mods, it will be interesting and exciting, opening up even for experienced players new horizons and impressions. Not to mention beginners, for whom the game with and without the modpack will be like heaven and earth. So what exactly does it do to the game? Let’s find out!

First of all, it is important to clarify that Better Adventures+ at its core is based on the already existing Minecraft and works specifically with it and with what it can give the player. For example, there is no space in the standard game, and there are no space adventures here either. But there are dungeons, though few. With the modpack, there will be many more of them, and they will be much more difficult and richer. We hope the logic is clear. Therefore, all innovations are precisely extensions of the basics — whether items, blocks, crafts, mobs, or even biomes. But we can’t ignore the elephant in the room and overlook the change that players will have to get used to.

The game includes many mods, and a small part inside the modpack is responsible for realistic movements of mobs and even the player. Now the character will imitate real movements. During sharp turns, the head may start spinning. Also, from time to time the camera will tilt slightly from side to side, especially when running. You can also see your own shoulders during regular play and the whole body in general if you look down. Anatomy is respected here, and it’s truly realistic. The downside is that there’s nothing like this in vanilla Minecraft, so for an unprepared player, such changes may cause discomfort at first. But once you get used to your own anatomy and the physics of updated mobs (such as villagers), you will be pleasantly impressed by the new possibilities and animations.

We can’t help but mention environment animations, which were greatly lacking in base Minecraft. We’re talking about trapdoors, doors, gates, and other movable structures. In vanilla, they have no transition stage between open and closed states. Here, it’s different — a door, for instance, has transition frames, quite smooth ones at that. This only emphasizes the general tendency toward animation of all things that should have it. It also allows the environment not to stand out from the overall renewed game dynamics.

One of the main activities in Better Adventures+ is exploring the surrounding world. Therefore, you will not be deprived of the most diverse structures that can be explored. These can be simple constructions like a lamppost, a merchant’s tent, or a signpost, as well as large outposts or even dungeons with their own bosses. Even basic structures like villages have undergone changes. They now have not only updated villagers but also never-before-seen buildings and structures. But basic houses can still be found here as well.

You can come across structures completely randomly. They can await you in the most unexpected places and even be located right nearby if luck decides so. Some of them are on the surface, others can be found only in specific biomes, and still others are located deep underground — and you’ll have to reach them. Moreover, all these structures differ in their contents. For example, a random well may contain treasures or simply serve as a water source with no special features. Somewhere you’ll find an outpost where you can rest or trade, and somewhere else — a complex and dangerous dungeon filled to the brim with valuables.

It’s not at all necessary that each structure will test your skills or even have something interesting. Buildings can be abandoned, useless, or even turn out to be traps. But that’s the point. When you encounter another point of interest during exploration, the possibilities for what happens next can be quite varied, filling exploration with genuine interest and realism, just like in a good RPG.

It would be quite an oversight for a modpack if exploring new content rewarded the player with standard items that can be obtained in the normal world. In addition to the fact that standard biomes are now greatly transformed and filled with something new, the same applies to items that the player can craft manually or find. Yes, a fairly large portion of the added items is unique and can be obtained only in specific places, making them more valuable.

To be more specific, a large number of different weapons, armor types, amulets, books, enchantments, pendants, and rings have been added to the game. All of them not only have distinctive appearances but also their own characteristics and purposes. Their combination allows experimenting with builds and creating your own character with a unique style. If in standard Minecraft you could only be a swordsman or an archer with a bow/crossbow, here the variety of your possibilities is on a completely different level. There is also great variety in the specific characteristics that increase damage, crit chance, survivability, endurance, or even grant new abilities.

However, it’s not all limited to combat slots meant to help kill foes. There are also decorative mods that add various furniture and decor elements. In Better Adventures+, emphasis is placed on the interiors and facades of buildings. After all, the new structures would not look as impressive if they were limited only to standard blocks. That’s why here you can find and create chairs, supports, palisades, beams, frames, candlesticks, tables, and much more. There are both purely decorative and practically useful items. For example, this applies to the “botanist’s table,” where you can use special recipes with their own list of craftable items.

Let’s talk about the list of mods that have the greatest impact on the entire modpack in its various aspects:
· Project MMO. Responsible for the skill tree, creation of your own class, and adding many attributes for the character. It’s the one that introduces a bunch of items with their unique properties and balances them.
· Biomes O' Plenty. Thanks to it, the player can discover many updated standard biomes and even explore new ones. It also adds blocks that can be found or created there.
· MVS — Moog's Voyager Structures. This mod introduces those very structures and buildings we talked about. The modpack is primarily about world exploration and its structures, so it takes one of the main places.
· Carpenter’s Blocks. The main mod from the list of building and decorative ones. It not only adds new crafts but also allows creating several variations of the same block for specific situations, freeing your hands creatively.
· Alex's Mobs. And what are new locations and unique player modpacks without updated mobs? This mod is responsible for adding most of the peaceful, neutral, and aggressive entities you can encounter.

Better Adventures+ fully lives up to its name. It is made for explorers and innovators capable of diving headfirst into discovering something new. Here you can find new biomes, locations to explore, items and skills to create your own unique character, and try yourself as an alchemist, designer, builder, craftsman, and more. Everything that the standard Minecraft lacked is implemented here. Thank you for your attention!
