Vertoak City – Massive City in Minecraft

What can you build in Minecraft? For example, you can generate a house, a big cottage, a farm, a huge castle, or cool pixel art. Have you already done this? Or maybe you don’t understand architecture at all, and your buildings look like typical «boxes»? Well, you can download a map of a massive city, where most of the work has already been done. The map adds a full-fledged metropolis with various buildings, both residential and non-residential, as well as roads, bridges, airports, sea routes, and much more.</p >

We invite you to check out the map of Vertoak City, which is a huge metropolis, including more than 300 different buildings. Moreover, the author promptly releases new versions, thus continually refining his «project» and adding new buildings to the map. Currently, V12 with a huge number of different cool locations is considered the latest version.

For you to at least roughly understand what the city includes and what size it is, we post below the author’s official screenshot of a «top view», which provides the image of the map with all its buildings.

First Spawn

You spawn in a central park building, which cannot please you with anything remarkable inside. However, the author has made some introductory recommendations and left all the messages on the signs. There is also a book, which describes some important points, and two more maps: one for the city, and the other for the world. At the initial stage, you can use them to find out where buildings are located and what terrain they can cover, especially if you play without using cheats and administrator mode.

Vertoak City Buildings

Each city in Minecraft is distinguished by its architecture, style, and certain types of buildings, including infrastructure. In its structure, Vertoak City resembles a huge metropolis with dense buildings, where literally every square meter has a large number of blocks.

Hotel

If you have nowhere to spend the night and you don’t have a bed, you can go to the hotel, where there are plenty of rooms. There will be a hotel reception at the main entrance. You can go up the stairs and choose any room where you have everything you need: a bed, chests, and lighting. It is a perfect place to hide from hostile mobs and just get to know the first building in Vertoak City. We have used Faithful to take screenshots so that the environment and architecture look clear.

Stock Exchange Building

This is not New York, but Vertoak City also has its own stock exchange. So, the author has added a separate building, where players can buy and sell currencies, make money on transactions, as well as discuss financial issues and many other things. In general, such buildings look great in a huge metropolis with Minecraft in the background. And they can look even better if you use this map on the server. Just check out the interior, which is simply amazing!

Shop

It is one of the few shops on this map. In fact, there are many of them in Minecraft. You can go to different shops to buy various types of items and blocks since each is specialized in a certain field. For example, some shops sell only blocks, while others provide weapons and tools, as well as certain types of plants or seeds.

«Gourmet Cuisine»

It is a kind of cafe or restaurant where you can eat while exploring the expanse of Vertoak City. This place has cool interiors, a large seating capacity, and a huge number of tables, both on the first and second floors. Besides, there are numerous well-designed details. For example, the staff has its own kitchen with different vats of water, chests, stoves, and other components. And if you install a separate mod to add new interior details, you will get a real «BOMB»!

Small Skyscrapers

The city has plenty of different skyscrapers, both large and small. In this section, we will show you some small skyscrapers that can be used as apartment buildings with spacious rooms and large panoramic views. There are also buildings used for financial organizations, offices, various structures, and private firms. It’s up to you to decide what buildings to choose and how to use them on the server or when you create your mini-server with friends.

Just like in many US cities, there is a kind of fans at the top of each building. And it looks as realistic as possible. This adds more detail to each building. What’s more, the way this level looks shows that the author has perfectly designed each building.

Seaport

One of the greatest features of the Vertoak City map is its seaport, which accommodates several ships of various shapes. They look cool and unusual. The location has a well-developed embankment, and every ship is designed in detail.

Just look at the abundance of different ships! For example, here you can find modern small yachts. If this option does not suit you, you can use a sailing ship. There are also more impressive ships, which we will talk about in one of the paragraphs below.

Aircraft

The author has also added aircraft. So, you will see a large number of planes, helicopters, hot air balloons, and various types of flying aircraft, which look extremely interesting in such locations. The fact is that many map developers rarely pay attention to such details by creating only a «skeleton» for houses, as well as for the whole city. Here the author has created a lively atmosphere to show that «it is a real city», which is full of life, people, and various events.

Cargo Port

It’s one thing to have a small port with some regular ships moored to the pier. But it’s another thing entirely to add a cargo port used for large ships. The author has introduced such a location, which accommodates several huge ships loaded with different types of goods.

It looks awesome and unusual. Here you can see the smallest details of numerous buildings and locations: different types of containers, a loading crane, buildings with employees, offices, a large amount of water around, a pier, and much more.

Arena

How can a big city exist without an arena? This location has also been added by the developer of the Vertoak City map. The city has its own building where various events can take place. For the most part, it is designed for playing hockey. The floor is filled with ice, and there is a surrounding area for players, a separate room for buying various snacks, and a large scoreboard with match results (you can use redstone to add an automatic timer to display on the scoreboard), and many other details.

If, for example, you want to turn the arena into a football field or a separate fighting hall, you can do this on your own simply by replacing the coating and adding a few signs. It will look rather cool. Besides, you will feel interested in modifying the city to suit your needs.

Military Base

Not far from the main part of the city, there is a military base with a large amount of equipment, for example, airplanes, helicopters, and its own airfield. There are also several hangars, both empty and filled with equipment, observation towers to view the area from all sides, and administrative buildings.

This area also has several missiles hidden underground. If you look at our screenshots, you will see some huge complexes the author has hidden underground. And this looks quite realistic since in real life they are kept in approximately the same way. The developer of the Vertoak City map has also taken into account a couple of points. For example, most military bases are really located close to cities, but not in the center, so that you can safely fire missiles in case of an attack.

The map has many more locations. However, describing them in one article would take a lot of time. Besides, you would have to read huge paragraphs of text. We provide only 10% of those buildings that are present in Vertoak City. But if you want more, download the map to your PC and feel free to explore this metropolis. There are a lot of different buildings, which will surely interest you.

We would like to remind you that there are about 300 different buildings, both large and small. The map does not set a specific goal. So, it’s up to you to decide what to do, how to live in the city, and whether to use it on the server or in single-player mode. The main advantage is the presence of roads and infrastructure in all locations, as well as the ability to use any available transport to get to any point by default. Besides, the outskirts of the city are dotted with ruins, which have certain secrets. But the author does not tell us what exactly is hidden there. Actually, this is what have to find out…
