Wolfhound is quite a popular and interesting resource pack, which can boast unique textures not found in other packs except in the modder's ones. The changes will affect not only the in-game blocks but also items and some other aspects. You will not have to worry about the detail level and quality of this pack, as the designer created it in 64x resolution, which is quite high — at least much higher than the standard one. The textures of blocks and objects are highly attractive. Thanks to a decent detail level and skillful hands of the modder, the textures have proved to be of very good quality. This resource pack will suit both builders and fans of other activities, as the blocks feature a very beautiful design. Some of them can boast various patterns and other particles that give a block a wonderful look. The color scheme of the resource pack cannot but amaze users, as everything there is harmonious, and there are enough both light and dark textures, which surely appeal to each player. The Wolfhound resource pack can be installed on many game versions, including the oldest, i.e., beginning with 1.8 and ending with 1.16.5. Perhaps the designer will release an update that will allow one to install this resource pack on the most current versions of the game.

The first thing to notice at the first launch of the game is related to the main menu. The changes have affected some of its aspects, namely the background image and buttons. Instead of the usual sea present in the 1.13.2 version, in the background, we see an in-game landscape featuring a spruce forest. The image is divided into two parts. On one side, we see a lighter theme with the forest itself, and the other side is a bit darker and depicts mountains. As for the menu buttons, they have acquired gray frames, and amazing patterns can be seen on their edges. When you hover over a certain menu button, it will be highlighted in a pleasant blue shade.

After entering the game world, you can notice changes related to the interface. The appearance of the inventory has changed. It has acquired colors similar to the main menu buttons, along with the beautiful patterns on the edges. The health and hunger bars have dramatically changed. The former now has blue circles instead of the familiar hearts. The hunger bar has also changed. It now consists of water flasks. As you might have guessed, if you are hungry, these flasks will be empty.

The grass block has acquired quite a bright color scheme, and its overall structure has changed. You will no longer see the square particles on the upper layer, so the block has become more realistic. Instead of them, the upper layer features quite elaborate blades of grass that look very voluminous. Having taken a look at the side of the grass block, you can notice some changes. The grass layer has become a bit longer and not so evenly situated. The dirt has also changed. We see that it has acquired a smooth texture, and there are no square particles in it either. In general, the dirt looks darker, and one can also notice several stones in its composition. As for the grass, it has become a bit taller and acquired a whole different structure. One can see some green ears on its blades. The tall grass has a similar structure but a different height.

The images in the paintings have changed, becoming elaborate and easier to see. These images have basically nothing to do with the game world — some of them are handmade paintings, and some are similar to photographs. Having looked at some of them, you can see that in the one-block paintings, a teapot on a tray and a strange creature that looks like a fish are depicted. In general, all the paintings look like posters, and they are very old, which is indicated by the already faded material and some tears. One of the large paintings features a fox seeing a gem for the first time. In another one, we see a beautiful horse with golden hair.

The sand now looks lighter, so the deserts will seem very bright to you. Its structure has changed; you will see the familiar square particles in it anymore, as it has acquired a smooth appearance. Besides light particles, there are the dark ones in its composition that separate them and form wavy lines — the designer thus wanted to recreate how sand actually lies. The cactus is now of a lighter shade, and its spines do not look like square particles as before. They have become more realistic, and their color lighter. Having taken a look at the upper part of the cactus, you can notice a beautiful flower there, consisting of a yellow circle in the middle, where the blue petals are connected. The dead bush has become dark and now looks more like a grass bush. You can see a skull in it, which gives the bush an uncommon appearance.

The trees have undergone realistic changes and now look much more interesting. The foliage structure of the oak and birch has changed. They are now basically identical but differ in color. On a foliage block, you can now see quite elaborate leaves of an attractive and realistic shape. The foliage is now not so transparent because the leaves are more numerous. The needles have also changed, becoming lusher and not transparent at all. Having taken a look at them, you can see that they are quite distinguishable.

The stone block has become very dark, which is especially noticeable from a distance, so the mountains will look darker. Not only its color has changed, but also the structure. It now consists of quite elaborate stones of a smooth and attractive shape. The cobblestone has an identical color but a different structure. It consists of even-shaped stones, which are more like bricks. The latter can be flat or more voluminous. The ores have also changed, acquiring a new stone texture in their composition. The precious particles in their composition now look different, so each ore has a unique appearance. Thus, the diamond ore consists of three small fragments superimposed on each other. The rest of the ores look no less interesting.

The precious items, i.e., the diamond, gold, and others, have also been affected by the changes. The diamond has acquired the shape of a single fragment, which looks quite voluminous and beautiful. Besides the fact that its shape has changed, its color has been slightly modified, and now it looks more natural. The ingots of gold and iron look a bit flattened, and various inscriptions can be seen on them. The iron ingot is now not as light as before. Lapis lazuli looks like a flask filled with a blue liquid resembling water. Redstone is now a very small box with red stones. The emerald can now boast a very beautiful appearance of a roundish stone.

Many items, or rather all of them, have also undergone changes, becoming very unusual. Having examined some of them, you can see that the bucket now does not look like a bucket at all, as it is just an empty glass flask. The wheat seeds are now filled in a large bag. All the dyes now look like a small cone into which a dye has been added as if it is liquid. The glowstone dust has acquired the form of a casket with yellow dust. The slimeball is now put in a large jar. The stick now looks more practical. It is not so smooth, and the outgoing twigs are visible on it.
