Initially, this texture pack was created for the developer’s friends, but gradually other players began to use it. At the time of writing this review, tens of thousands of players have used it and the number of downloads has long ago exceeded 50,000. According to the developer, weapon and armor textures have been changed here, and animated effects and particles added, for example, when you’re playing with a bow or a sword. If you look at the inventory screenshots, when you have a set or a weapon there, you will immediately see the changes. However, they aren’t applied to Netherite options, since the latest version of OhPvP Texture Pack was released for Minecraft version 1.8.9, and in fact there haven’t been any updates from the developer since that time. But it works quite well in Minecraft 1.19.2, which we checked when writing this review.

Just look at different types of armor in Minecraft. The textures have become more pleasant, but some elements got blur effects. During the first hours of the game, this won’t look very pleasing and sometimes even unusual, but then you’ll get used to it and realize that this option provides you with certain advantages. Almost all types of armor but for Netherite have been transformed and become more contrasting, but at first, it’s unclear what the changes actually are. When you participate in a fight, concentrate on the opponent, don’t focus on your set, on the sword, on the way it’s lying in your hands. Just fight and enjoy the gameplay.

And from the first moments of a PvP battle, you’ll see that all the changes and upgrades of OhPvP Texture Pack give certain effects. Nothing interferes with the view, the sword has become smaller but longer. As for the diamond sword – it has even got a slightly transparent texture in the middle with a ribbed surface. It looks uncommon; however, these changes are hard to see if you don’t look closely. The armor also looks more interesting, both on the character, if you press F5 to change the angle, and in the inventory.

In general, it’s a nice and attractive texture pack for Minecraft, which makes it possible to upgrade the effects in a battle and not to conflict with other mods at the same time, for example, to work with new types of blocks. The only condition is not to install packs that will also change the vanilla types of armor and tools in the game. The only thing available to you is a separate texture pack for Netherite tools, armor, and weapons, since OhPvP Texture Pack has added nothing for this material.

In general, it’s quite a decent option for many players, and this pack is constantly used by many Minecraft players on a variety of servers, especially where various battles often take place. It can be complemented by different mods that display the opponent’s health and other characteristics for you to estimate how much damage you need to additionally inflict to win. We recommend studying the composition of potions in Minecraft, since they are extremely important in a battle and provide you with certain advantages.
