In Minecraft, the player has to constantly encounter different types of mobs, survives with friends and other users, and can join servers to fight with live players or create their own clans. That is quite natural. However, the vanilla game version provides no information about the parameters of creatures and players or their health status. But how do we defeat a boss or kill mobs if we do not understand how many HPs they have? This is a serious problem, especially when it comes to farms enclosing too many creatures per square yard. It is here where a mod called YDM's MobHealthBar comes to the rescue.
The YDM's MobHealthBar add-on displays the amount of health for all the in-game mobs. That applies to both vanilla creatures and other mobs added by user mods. The potential of this mod is broad, as it offers rich functionality for all players, being one of the best tools for displaying information about in-game mobs. So if you are interested, be sure to read our detailed review.
The YDM's MobHealthBar or its analogs are a must-have for your build, as they are very significant gameplay mods, allowing you to get data concerning the health of mobs and players in Minecraft. There is no such feature in the vanilla game version, and that is a serious oversight by the developers from Mojang. Indeed, new mobs are constantly being added, and each of them has different health levels, so even an experienced player finds it difficult to remember what characteristics a particular creature has. However, in battle, you have to take into account all the factors, and it is better to estimate how much damage you have already inflicted on a mob and how many HPs it still has. This also applies to many bosses, including those added by user mods.
The YDM's MobHealthBar add-on allows you to see how many HPs any mob has both now and by default. No matter what biome the player finds themselves in, they will always see these indicators. The same applies to any other users: if they are surviving with you or playing on some Minecraft server, this mod will provide information about their health levels. The scale is displayed above a mob or player and is nicely drawn. It features no complex textures or superimpositions — everything is quite simple and clear.
The YDM's MobHealthBar mod features 14 styles for displaying health parameters to choose from. By default, you will see the red health bar, but it will be enough to press the H key to select another option. For example, the bar can be blue, green, or filled with hearts. Each option is interesting in its own way and basically fits with the vanilla Minecraft style. Besides, you will be able to choose whether the mob name is to be displayed and in which cases the bar is to be displayed and in which it is not. Thus, you will be able to enable the bar only for aggressive in-game mobs.
You will thus be able to add to the list of creatures that will not show their health bars, and this applies not only to the vanilla mobs but also to user mods. That provides you with new opportunities without requiring any special skills. The thoroughly adjustable parameters include the rendering distance, display of the name, showing health points, bar size, and much more. However, they are not that numerous, and that is a great advantage for the player.
We have added a large number of screenshots from the YDM's MobHealthBar mod, although its functionality is not particularly extensive. We just wanted to show what styles are available and how they differ from each other. So any of you can now decide for yourself whether to install this add-on or not. In the settings, you will always be able to disable some features and functions of the add-on without having to remove it from your build. That is fast and convenient. The mod works stably, is constantly updated and refined by the designer, and is available for both Fabric and Forge.
