Villager Life – Realistic Civilians in Minecraft

It’s impossible to imagine the world of Minecraft without civilians, since we have to interact and trade with them all the time, and some server players manage even to create full-fledged farms that bring them huge quantities of cheap resources, for example, all kinds of building blocks, emeralds, books for enchanting objects, and so on. However, the look of the villagers, of course, leaves much to be desired, and Mojang neither changes their texture nor adds any variety for 8 years, when the first versions of the creatures appeared. It would be great to have something interesting and cool, right?

You can use different types of textures, but they don’t affect the civilians’ behavior in any way. We’ve already posted the Better Villager data pack, which totally changes the appearance of villages, but even there the behavior and textures remain the same. A Sims-type simulator is another thing – here, you can meet different kinds of residents, who perform various tasks, do their business. Interesting, isn’t it? And you can transfer the Sims world to Minecraft, using the Villager Life mod. Now, you’ll get completely new versions of villagers in the game.

The Villager Life Mod Review

The way the villagers behave in the game world will totally change. And this applies not only to their appearance, but to anything else as well. They will be all different, divided by gender, age, and behavior. For example, you can see an elderly grandfather or a little boy, a beautiful girl, a man. They all differ and wear different types of clothing. And this is just «the tip of the iceberg», which the Villager Life mod implies. The developer has added a kind of «anatomy» for everyone, with each creature having their own path.

Here, we can highlight several important criteria, which will distinguish all the villagers in Minecraft:

· Anatomy;

· Genetics;

· Reproduction;

· Aging;

· Emotions;

· Gender;

· Diseases;

· Legislative level.

As you can see, there are a lot of characteristics and parameters, and each person will get a different order and random values, so, there won’t be two identical characters in Minecraft. Which makes it a full-fledged simulator, where each type of resident is unique. So that you get a rough understanding of what the features and differences these categories have, let’s look at a few of them.

The Characters Anatomy

Each villager has a certain anatomy that determines how they grow, develop, and how long they can live. And there are different types of organs that affect the character’s development.

· Brain. If a creature has a brain, it automatically falls into the category of villagers. It’s the crucial organ, without which a person can’t live;

· Lungs. They are responsible for the air circulation in a human and a person’s stay in the village;

· Heart. Another important organ that is responsible for the blood circulation inside the body. If the blood pressure is too high, then the character may get sick. And as a person ages, the heart becomes more fragile than at a young age. The Villager Life mod allows you to use this organ to make a special healing potion;

· Kidneys. The organs that filter fluids and remove various toxins from the characters’ body. If the blood sugar level or blood pressure is high, a civilian may get sick. Also, it may affect the immune system, if damaged;

· Liver. It’s responsible for digestion in the characters, and if you use poison, then a civilian may simply die.

These are far from all the organs, and there are many more of them here, just like in real life. Each organ is responsible for certain parameters, and in case of any deviations, villagers will get sick, suffer, age faster, become less mobile, and won’t produce as many offsprings as if they were healthy.

You can take a scalpel from the item list, approach any character, and click on them to see what organs they have, whether there are problems, and so on. It’s an interesting and unique mechanic that allows not only to expand the colony, but to study any civilian from the anatomical point of view as well. You can exchange any organ, remove it, and so on if you want. But remember that a villager will simply die without important organs.

Offsprings and Reproduction

Another important parameter in Minecraft for civilians is offsprings and reproduction, since they need to keep developing, giving birth to children, scaling their colony or settlement, and there are also certain parameters for this, which are randomly assigned for each character. For example, a woman’s ovulation is important here, as well as striving for reproduction from both civilians, their age, genetics, previous pregnancy, and many other parameters.

Genetics

One of the important parameters in the game is genetics, which directly affects how your character and his children will develop. There are a few important patterns here:

· A healthy baby will be born with a skin color that corresponds to the biome where he was at the time of delivery;

· A skin color changes if the parents have different tones, and the probability of either option being assigned is 50%;

· Around 70% of the villagers will have black and dark hair, and the remaining 30% will have blonde hair. Red shades are rarely inherited; however, if a parent has red hair, most likely their offspring will also be red;

· The residence can genetically inherit different types of diseases, for example, diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, reproductive diseases, and many other disfunctions;

· Besides, there’s a certain chance that vitiligo, albinos, twins, and many other types of children can be born.

Diving into genetics can bring us to writing a dissertation. In this regard, the Villager Life mod developer has done a great job. There are a lot of parameters, by which the villagers differ from each other, so it’s extremely important for any player to install this product, at least to evaluate the capabilities of this mod.

The Villager Life mod adds a lot of unique things for all your characters, allows you to approach any person and check their characteristics, make an anatomical section, artificially inseminate a woman, and make dozens of other actions that will allow you to keep improving people all the time. A lot of new content is added here, so, if you are ready to immerse yourself into this wonderful world, we recommend that you download this mod and try all its features and capabilities.

You can also quickly spawn a man or a woman if you want. The developer added a few summoning eggs of different colors. At the same time, the appeared characters get random characteristics. You can find living creatures in any biome, whether it’s taiga, savanna, common clearing, or forest biome, winter. Characters appear in almost all the territories. However, be sure to re-generate the map after installing the Villager Life mod so that they spawn there. Here you can make rings, create unique items for studying any person, artificially arrange their life, and just watch this entire colony gradually developing.
