Snowy Spirit – Christmas style add-on

Snowy Spirit  – it is a small modification related to Christmas and New Year’s Eve. In particular, the modification will add some vanilla items for those who are interested in the New Year theme.

Building decoration – glow lights
The first Christmas item is glow lights. In total, the modification adds 17 such items of various colors. The glow lights are easy to create and can be placed on any leaves by right-clicking on them. The glow lights not only decorate the leaves and the overall interior but also are a source of light.

The next decorative item to add is a wreath. The wreath is also easy to create and can be hung on all doors and blocks to bring some Christmas joy to your house.

Another decorative item that does not have much functionality is a snow globe. If you put a snow globe on a block and then right-click on it, there will be snowflakes inside. If you place the snow globe in a winter biome, the block will independently change to its snowy state.

If you visit jungle biomes, you can find wild ginger, which drops a ginger flower. The ginger flower can be turned into a red dye or planted in a garden bed for further cultivation. Once ripe, ginger can be used to create a gingerbread block and its frozen version, as well as to craft 4 gingerbreads. However, crafting gingerbread will require gumdrops, which are very easy to create. Also, ginger is needed to make «eggnog». In terms of saturation, this drink surpasses even golden carrots.

The last food item is a candy cane, which is crafted from sugar and honey. You can also use the candy cane to create a decorative block.

By the way, gumdrops are a rather strange decorative block since they are both a button and a pressure plate that highlights the redstone signal.

However, the main feature of the modification is the new type of transport – the sled. The modification introduces 6 types of sleds, which differ only in material. The main feature of sleds is that, unlike boats, they can smoothly climb up and down slopes, as well as increase their speed when going downhill. If you ride on snow, you will leave a trail behind you. However, sleds have improved mobility on ice and leave no trail behind. You can also use sleds to move on the ground, but the speed will be limited. You can equip your sleds with carpets or any other blocks, for example, even a chest. Besides, you can increase the speed of your sled by attaching a tamed wolf to the sled. To do that, use a lead. To untie the dog, you need to break the sled.
