The RideHud mod brings a separate HUD displaying the information about the horse you are currently riding. Review of the RideHud Mod

Fans of horses and riding will surely appreciate the RideHud mod, as it adds several bars displaying important additional information about the animal. They are quite helpful, given that you often have to run away from mobs on horseback, cross numerous different biomes, and get into dangerous areas and situations. If you have no idea about what condition your horse is in at the moment, you may lose it. Moreover, this HUD fits well with the overall vanilla game style and does not distract the player in any way. It is displayed only when you are riding a horse, donkey, or mule.

The innovations of the RideHud add-on are simple: it just adds several new bars above the hotbar. They disappear if you jump off a horse. The following data is displayed: on the right side, you will see the animal's health bar and speed indicator, and on the left, there will be data on the jump height. Indeed, you can jump over some barriers on horseback, and if you have never tried that, it is time to do it. All the in-game horses have different characteristics, and with the help of this mod, you will be able to learn about them, try different options, breed them, and even sell them.

The RideHud mod thus opens up new trading opportunities, as you will be able to evaluate the characteristics of horses, donkeys, and mules in Minecraft using the new HUD. Note! If you use other mods that add some HUD and or GUI elements, you may have to configure them so that they do not overlap, but such situations occur extremely rarely.

The functionality of the mod is moderate but extremely useful. It is designed for players who often move across different locations in the Minecraft game world. If you interact with horses and ride them and have already tested the Riding Partners mod, where you can move together, you will surely want to add RideHud to your build. It works correctly, requires Fabric, and is already available for Minecraft 1.20.4 — the new version was released just a couple of days ago. The designer occasionally adds new features, but these are mostly minor improvements and changes.
