The mod adds improved versions of vanilla mobs to Minecraft. Now, there’s a small chance that so-called Captains – the mobs that are stronger and more powerful than their vanilla comrades – can spawn in the game. They are easily recognizable: they have a special round frame at their feet and something resembling an energy crown appears above their heads.

But don’t be afraid. Indeed, these Captains are stronger than vanilla mobs, but it’s not critical. For example, the Zombie Captain has 15 HPs (in comparison to 8 HPs of the vanilla zombies), and its attacks are just slightly stronger. The same is true for all the rest captains. These aren’t bosses – they are just mobs that are a bit stronger than the vanilla versions.

The rarer the vanilla mob, the rarer its Captain version will appear. Thus, the appearance of the Zombie or Skeleton Captains are a rather ordinary event, but it’s a lot more difficult to find the Witch Captain, the Piglin, or the Pillager Captain. Only humanized mobs can become captains, so Ravagers, Hoglins, and Vexes will remain unchanged.

However, the drop that falls out of the Captains is far more interesting than the vanilla one. Here, you can find really cool rare items with top-grade enchantments. For example, a sword with 5 sharpness points, or a totem of immortality, or an axe with 5 efficiency points.
